So fess up-has there been a time when you've been seduced by the art of the Steelbook, but really didn't like the flick?

Examples? Chime in and have fun!

Twilight! 10,00BC, just to name a few. I may get hammered for this but... Captain America didnt really impress me - but the steelbook, WOW!!

Today it's something I would never do anymore. I bought at the time the French Spiderman 3 Limited Box Edition, though I didn't like the movie at all and it does not include a Steelbook.

i've never bought a steel for a film i dont like even if it has some great art though i must admit i'm tempted by the german Spirit :hilarious:

I try these days to stick to those movies I like because there are just too many steelbooks out there now and I'm not into collecting to be a completist. The odd stinker still slips by though, for example:

Conan
Transformers ROTF
Cowboys and Aliens
Death Race
Hellboy 2
In Time
Salt
Three Musketeers

You do get the impression very often that steelbook packaging is used to boost sales of movies that otherwise wouldn't generate much excitement.

Too many to list almost :D

Death Race
Repo Men (not Repo Man!)
Sweeney Todd
Zimmer 1408
Halloween
Death Proof
300
Gladiator
Gangs of New York
The Thing (DE + FR)
Red State (as you can tell, I don't intend to stop buying them :hilarious:)

... and then some!!

Probably just me, can't stand Russel "one facial expression" Crowe and anything with German bodybuilder and non-actor Ralph Moeller in it can't be taken seriously anyway... I actually liked Hanna so I think "bad" is in the eye of the beholder (except for obvious things like Human Cehtipede, 10.000 BC,....).

as for me, Hanna
