Got mine with scratches too. Could have been worse with the flimsy padding they have been using.
At least Evil Dead 2013 was mint.

Proper fuming!! Mine arrived today with scratches on the back!! Had enough of Zavvi, this has happened 3 times in a row now. Will be complaining big time!!!

Same here, mine arrived with the usual paint chips under the backing card.

What makes it worse is Zavvis return policy, the last time I had a SB with paint chips and requested a replacement they told me to first provide them with photos of the damage and with the thought of having to wait weeks for a replacement whilst waiting for the returned item to be located on their system, it just doesn't seem worth the hassle

This is the very reason I'd rather buy steeelbooks unsealed

Got mine today as well... DENTED
Came in awful pachaging, a thinner box and a thin sheet of protection, might as well jiffy bagged it, would have arrived much better

Oh well, hopefully Zavvi send a replacement out

You'd have a problem getting one without the scratches, I'd say 90% are gonna have them on the back. All 3 of mine rec'd today have them. It's a joke.

Mine arrived with one end of the box opened. It just so happens that this end is the end where the steelbook is mangled. It must have slipped out at some point and someone has just slipped it back in (while whistling I imagine). Need to arrange a return. Play and Zavvi were always the worst for returns.

Do we know how stock levels are on this one? I'm not going to be able to get to one of the collect+ places to return my copy of Evil Dead (2013) for a few days, I don't want to miss out on getting a replacement.

Hi Ash, most retailers keep a number of copies back for replacements. I am guessing they did the same. No further info on stock levels at this time, sorry.

I really do like this steelbook, but there's a little part of me that's annoyed that it doesn't match up to the spine of the first film.


Ah well, us steelbooks fans are known to be fussy.

Got my Zavvi box today from the postman and opened it up excitedly......to find Evil Dead (2013 remake) instead of my Evil Dead II. I hadn't ordered the remake....This happen to anyone else? I suppose it's an understandable mistake from those doing the packing.

I not got my remake either.
So I ordered another copy in case its lost! Yes I will need to fork out on postage to send it back if I get two but meh!

My ED2 steely shipped Monday so should have it Thursday hopefully!
