My Commando magnet lenti was so scratched that I actually ended up throwing it away. Only other lenti from them I have is Kingsman and that was mint.

I am very sorry to hear mate this is crazy, especially on a so anticipated release and from the BS , the Magnet Lenti looks sooo nice...

I really hope you as well took 2 minutes to let film arena know exactly what you said in your post by email to them...
we really have the power to change things for the future releases here, but we need to let them know each of us if we get a scratched lenti

I've told them today and sent my photos. The very friendly woman who talked to me sent my request to her "head coworker" and they will let me know with new information ...
Here's hoping they can do something, I sent them an email with my pictures just now too as I didn't get a chance over the weekend.

just found out yesterday that i am not guaranteed a copy of this. all this time i thought i was locked into the group buy just waiting for the invoice. had no clue i was first in line on reserve list :dunno:

@dan8885 and @MrBMT wow guys that is really great that you are taking the time to pass this so very important Feedback since it is a wide spread issue
it seems, and they need to know... when I open my Copy I do expect a similar situation as you guys and will write them as well.

Yes She is very Friendly, there's 2 lady that I have spoken to and the first one when I addressed ''the issue of the shrink wrap being way too thing'' in the 6 to 8 first releases at the beginning of the year, it was crazy at how thin the shrink wrap was and how easy it ripped and scratched... they passed the info to the head coworker and when it was supposed to have been fixed, I wrote back to let them know that they are still too thin as I was having same issue and now the Shrink wrap is way better than it used to, they did make it thicker. So they do care we just have to let them know...but also with the amount of releases they now do it must be easy to get lost in controlling everything so with all of our emails with the scratched lenti will give them a voluminous amount of feedback and I am sure they will correct the situation for the future...but such a shame it is so nice on the mockup.

Well said @kasinova I fully agree with you.

Couldn't have said it better my friend.

@SK 80 my friend check out this great post by my main man, my brother @kasinova . I'm sure you'll deffinetely agree with him here as well, honest opinion from an honest man:

It's really sad to see alot of people receiving damaged or scratched up copies after all this wait, I hope FA looks into this and resolves all your issues as they are a great company and are doing well know with great packages such things like this is not good enough for them as a company as it disheartenes customers and they loose out good look to use all and for the rest who await their copies fingers crossed guys.

:)

Yeah, scratched-up lentis are a bummer. I guess most people won't know though, given how many packages stay sealed. I admit I haven't opened all of mines yet, but whenever I feel like watching the films I will. The lenti of my Hunger Games Mockingjay Part I was fine, hopefully the rest of them are too, because if you increase delays, that's the type of thing we shouldn't have to be on the lookout for.

@luke98 Being in the middle of watching season 3 I approve of that X-Files theme, quite fitting indeed :troll:, but if I wanted to include a TV show theme here I would have posted Homeland's : not for the conspiracy/paranoia part, more because of the heroine's personality :wacky:... anywaaay :D.

That's a shame about the scratches, but now on upcoming releases we'll truly see if FilmArena listens and pays attention to our complaints, because there hadn't been many until now.

The 2 copies that I had lentis with, MockingJay Pt.1 and Kingsman the Magnet Lenticular are FLAWLESS !!!

I really plead with my fellow members that if you get a scratched lenti for Ex_Machina, do not just let it go, please it takes 1 min to send an email to FA to let them know and it is ONLY this way that in the Future if we want to keep a copy sealed, that we won't have to worry about wondering if the lenti within the sealed copy is scratched.

They do take feedback very well !!! and the more we voice our experience with the scratched lenti, the less we will need to worry in the future, after all we pay nice money over and over to FA. They do care and when there is an issue usually they are more careful in the future.

Should be receiving my copy soon as it's been shipped hoping for the best on this one as it's my favourite release from FA from the lot.

I hope they offer a lenti for each copy. Hopefully this gets fixed.
Even if this is a widespread issue with many copies, every buyer should not be entitled to automatically receive a lenti replacement or partial refund. People that choose to keep their copy sealed cannot confirm any damage and should be excluded from a replacement or refund. That is just part of the risk of keeping a sealed steelbook collection.

I'm still very grateful for all help from @Actarus . I received empty steelbook with my FAC Hunger Games and this guy helped me to get a replacement disc instantly. I have also received many other help and hints from him. I can say these were genuine good- natured acts from his part and proud to have a member like him on HDN. So thank you Actarus. Nowadays I always open my copy when it arrives, since you can still acquire replacement parts and solve whatever issues you encounter. I should get Ex_Machina today. We'll see how major flaws it has.

Well, I got a reply from Film Arena this morning:

Dear Collector,

Thank you for your feedback to the EX MACHINA edition. We noticed several reactions associated with EX MACHINA lenticular magnet.

We would like to assure you that these lenticulars correspond to the standard quality control, as well as lenticulars to previous editions. We try to prepare each edition with utmost care.

Please kindly note that all the lenticular sheets are prior to printing normally stored on pallets stacked one sheet over the other. For reasons of mechanical friction between sheets are created tags similar to scratches formed at different locations. These tags are visible only under a certain angle. According to communication with foil manufacturers are not these tags manufacturing defects. These small tags are more or less present on every lenticular sheet and you can hardly avoid them.

Opinion of Filmarena: According to our internal quality controls are different kinds of tags found on each lenticular sheet or final magnet. These variations of tags do not affect the function of lenticular lenses. It is not technologicaly possible to avoid those tags. These tags are therefore not evaluated as manufacturing defects. However, in case you are not satisfied with the edition, you can send it back and we will refund your money.

Thank you for your understanding.

Team FA

FYI @Actarus

I received the same. Really a let down. The funniest sentence is that they call the scratches variations and that they don't affect the function of the lenticular so it's ok o_O And small scratches? My scratches are so deep it looks like Edward Scissorhands and Wolverine did a movie night with this.

And especially in my case no word to my dented Full Slip :(

You can sum this message up in: We don't give a **** :sour:
