Maybe someone in their neck of the woods can go along and have a word in their ear and explain to them in more detail .... lame excuse this about all of them stacked on top of one another.

Quiet concerned about this as I will be receiving my copy soon and I no the same fate will be waiting for me i hope FA look into this matter carefully and resolve the issue were all going through.

Look, it's simple. Have filmarena get the actual cost of the lenticular magnet. It has gotten to the point that Members might not probably care to add a couple of dollars for their replacement since there won't be any free ones to receive, rather than have a defective lenti to be stuck with. What's the cost???
Have the lenticular magnet sent with your next order to offset the shipping cost. I remember a few months back, when I had a defective numbered card for one of their collections and was told that they were just going to have it replaced and sent with my next order. Of course I said that it wasn't a problem to do that.

I love Filmarena for their cool editions but this kind of response to a faulty lenti (as p.ex. @dan8885 and @MrBMT received theirs), shrugging it off to be some sort of regular process irregularity, is just cheap. (n) If that were indeed the case, then other lentis from other editions would have had these errors as well and well, for the most part, they didn't. I understand that something sometimes can go wrong and is beyond control from the distributor's side but this is no such case. Filmarena delayed this release as some quality standards were not reached for certain parts of this edition. However, a scratched lenti is such a quality standard? As it apparently is supposed to be normal, it in consequence is still of the highest quality is what they imply with their answer. And sorry, but that is again just cheap. There seem to be multiple scratched lentis (without any promised 3D effect apparently but that is another issue) out there and this is simply a quality check error from Filmarena who should have seen this and have them re-produced correctly before sending them out. They did see some other flaws, didn't they?
Quality over quantity - I know everyone is saying that. And I'm as well as it's simply true. One edition less per year and better quality control for the other and everyone will be happy. Filmarena does produce great editions and their overall packages are normally superb but to sent out scratched lentis and then reply by (paraphrased) saying "everything's ok" is not cool. And for a big company, it is even less cool.
I still love FAC releases, I will buy future ones, I'm sure, but I hope I don't have to deal with any damage to any edition and I do hope no one here has to either. Because what happened here is in short a big bummer and overall a sad ending to a release so long awaited by many.
Now, I'm just hoping that my copy will arrive safely and undamaged (kind of selfish, I agree) but if not, Filmarena has one more mail incoming, sorry. :(

This is a tipping point for FilmArena. They either own up to the mistake or they correct it and let us at least buy a Lenticular to go with the purchased item. I think they at least need to do that. People will run away from them if they don't admit to it and do something. I want to make sure I am covered and have a scratch free lenti to go with my items. Even if I have to pay $5 for each one I don't care. I will be the first in line to buy em.

The response Filmarena gave to members here is identical to the one I received..............
Still leaves me wondering if the delay was due to the same issue which was unresolved so they sent them out anyway. I realise that might not be the case but you can't blame me for being suapicious.....

I've wrote in one of my messages that I will pay for anything. For a Lenti, for a Full Slip, for shipping I even offered to sent the damaged ones back so they don't need to think I will sell the other stuff.
BUT they say they don't got some. They say they only got the ones for the exact print-run:

"we are very sorry but unfortunatelly each piece of this editions ir original and there is no more fullslips or another parts of this edition.
....But unfortunatelly these editions are unique and it is not possible to provide new pieces of these editions."

They call it unique to produce the exact print-run, I call it pretty stupid!

Just sent Filmarena a response to the generic response I received from them. Here it is..

Hi,

With regards to the response received regarding scratched lenticulars, I disagree that the items meet standard quality requirements, having seen photos of some of the damaged lenticulars received by members of the Hi-Def Ninja forum.

Although I am not a spokesperson for members of the forum, I feel I should express some disappointment on behalf of myselt and other members regarding the generic response received which has left many unhappy with the dismissive content.

Hopefully the issue raised will be addressed with a view to improving the quality of future releases.

No doubt another unsatisfactory response will be received.............

At least Zavvi offers a partial refund.

FA offered nothing to these unfortunate folks but a swift kick to the rear out the door.

Go figure. :confused::p
