Actually it wasn't, they are listed a producers but have no active involvement, same with the X-Men films, Fox do this soley by themselves. Neither was it part of Marvel Studios MCU, it was to be part of Fox's Marvel Universe and have links to the same world as the X-Men films, but that seems to have been scrapped.
@Apollon I think you hit the nail on the head. Its now being rumoured to have been butchered with 3 main action scenes booted by Fox, and the director being removed from the editing suite wit the final 3rd act being edited by someone new appointed by Fox. He tweeted that the finished film isn't his film, but deleted the tweet shortly afterwards, probably after getting threatened by Fox's lawyers.
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the Trank cut eventually gets released a year or so from now, nor would I be surprised if the Steelbook gets cancelled for lack of interest. I certainly hope not cause it would probably be the only incentive I'd have to ever see it.
I was looking forward to going to see this. After all the negative comments here I'm not so sure it's worth the visit. I've pre-ordered the SB which was a reasonable price. Slight issue with using Paypal on HMV's online store, they take payment in advance and it's not so easy getting the money refunded. So tempted to just ignore this film.
I was hoping for more of a Man of Steel feel reboot. I personally didn't like the first films, thought they were pretty awful.
I was very excited to see this but reviews not so good i liked the trailer, so i decide i will wait for the Blu-ray instead hopefully a good Steelbook and not a matte finish.Really like that back and inside art. As a whole looks ok. Haven't seen the film yet and I'm trying to not read all the reviews and although it seems to be getting negative reviews I still want to see it and will probably add this to my collection at some point. The way I see it is surely not as worse as the orginal 2 (and I didn't mind the silver surfer one) even if they have changed the story.
Anyway my point is im ignoring everyones opinion and review until I've seen it lol
I paid with PayPal and they didn't charge me right away, they emailed me saying money will be charged when item is released

Hmm, I'm pretty sure I've been charged. Can't know 100% until the transaction drops over on my credit card statement. I will confirm once I know.
My mistake your right, just checked my PayPal "recent transactions" and the money has been taken.
Thought the first one and Silver Surfer weren't that bad.All ff4 movies seem to get a lot of hate. Personally, i like them. Am looking forward to seeing this one and the steelbook (which we are all interested in) looks bloody good lol
I don't care what the majority of people say, I'm still looking forward to seeing this and will definitely be getting the steelbook... if I took any notice of what others said then I would've missed out on loads of films I actually love. Steelbook art looks great overall and is exactly what I was hoping for!![]()
It states on HMV's website that if you preorder by card, they will charge it when the item is picked at their warehouse, but if you order via PayPal, you will be charged at the time of the order.Few worry over, I was thinking the money had gone elsewhere. I'm tempted to cancel and just order on card, should stop the up front payment. I too see the message about the money not being taken until closer to the release date, clearly doesn't apply to PayPal transactions.
