I really dislike movies this great having their first/only G2 release botched by cheesy, thrown-together art, mostly because I'm naturally compelled to replace my amaray with a steel, but I hate the idea of supporting such a crappy effort.

I re-watched the film today (on DVD). The steel design is on the nose, I think, I like it.

Too many different typefaces! That puppet theme artwork is nice, hope they'll work a bit on that poor fonts mess.
I'll buy anyway because of the great movie it is, but i will be here complaining if they don't put some effort to improve it.

Briefly saw this today and it wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be. It's an odd grey-white colour with texture (printed I mean, not embossing/debossing) all over. The 'Fargo' in red is debossed as is the lumberjack (if I remember correctly). Shame about the general design. I do want the disc, but will wait 'til it drops under a tenner for the amaray.

When you say 'texture all over', what do you mean? Or do you mean text all over?
