Hi members, after chatting with Zavvi about the delay, here's the information we've been given.

-New release date will be June 3rd, 2013.
-The steelbook packaging that you have come to expect from Zavvi also had a delay and rather sending these out in bubble mailers or other packages, they are awaiting a new delivery of these boxes. Some delay in the manufacturing process occurred apparently.

Hope that helps, updating the OP with the new release date, at least Zavvi understands how upsetting it would be for collectors to get these steels in not-as-safe packaging rather than just sending them out.

A little bit gutted this has been delayed, I cancelled my order due to general skintness and now its coming out after I get paid which means this would have been affordable after all

I'll give eBay a go in a few weeks when the dust settles and its saturated with them, maybe it'll be a little cheaper

I just hope it does arrive in mint condition

I think digibooks should be packaged in a box myself, it's a collectible and can cost as much as a steelbook so why not give it good protection!

I panicked when I just received that, any order update I've ever had form Zavvi has never been good news...
