I probably know the answer to this already, but:

Now that they've decided to make this part of a collection, do you think there's any possibility they'll make more Finding Nemo steelbooks?

I'd have gone for this in an instant had I known it was part of a Pixar steelbook collection.

I doubt that they will, some users have some for trade though in the trade section so maybe you can get a good deal on it. Good Luck! :scat:

Had to make a complete comparison between this and the Canadian Viva:

And now for the content... we have a NEW winner! :hilarious:

Personally, in an ideal world, I'd have the colours of the viva, the artwork of the zavvi one....finished off in a gloss lacquer with no embossing (or at least no embossed border). I must be the only one that doesn't dig zavvis obsession with embossed borders. It works with some artwork, but definitely not all.

Nope you are not the only one. The Rocketeer for example would have looked much better without the embossed border.

I think the 'classic' paramount steelbooks were excellent with their embossing...they used it selectively. The borders worked very well for titles such as True Grit, Thor, Iron Man (FS), and Chronicle (even the recent MI4). There is NO reason to emboss every steelbook. The Raid UK is a perfect example of great art and embossing, better than any zavvi exclusive steelbook in my opinion. And guess what....no embossed border.

/rant. over.

The raid had debossing. You can't emboss a steelbook without a border. There can be debossed steelbooks without a border. The raid and safe house for example aswell as the recent LGB from Kimchi :scat:

Damn, you're right! it is debossing.

I feel daft but I admit when I read your comment I was like 'mind = blown'. I never realised there was a correlation between embossing and emobssed borders. I'm guessing this is a production limitation (have to press the metal into something would require a gap?)

In theory if they were to deboss something from the back (inside) it would result in an embossed image on the outside without a border.

And all the paint then getting sc***** off as it goes through the rest of the manufacturing, packing, transportation, unpacking, disc insertion, wrapping, packing, transportation, unpacking, storage, packing, postage process!
