I don't get it. Why should someone still prefer the viva? I've seen an unboxing video of the Nemo viva. The Zavvi one is basically the same, but with more unique embossing. Am I missing something?

What you're missing is the fact that not everyone likes the same things. I prefer Viva's in general over Steelbooks. And although the embossing on this is amazing I still prefer the Viva which also has great but different embossing.

Received 1 of the 2 on order today. Unfortunately along with a rip in the shrink on the right side Bruce seems to have acquired an extra nasal dent albeit below the corner of his jaw. Have to say imperfections aside this looks an awesome Steel. Hope my other is OK as I might move this on to an "openner" who could probably press out the ding.

here's mine:

compared to the viva metal:

its hard to see in the pics but the viva metal is a lot richer in colour depth, and the embossing on the title on the viva is better quality and is a nicer white colour, but Bruce the shark is embossed on the steelbook. Over all I'd go with the viva metal as the back and inside artwork is far superior. But as I'm not opening either, then on the front alone its hard to pick a winner, so I'm just happy to have both

Both look great. Got the steelbook yesterday and it's well up there with the likes of Roger Rabbit, a cracker.

Is it just me, but is Bruce the wrong shape on the front of the Viva - sorta stretched too tall? Probably a trick of the angle?

When was yours dispatched? I'm getting slightly worried mine has gone walkies too. Mine was sent 30/05, yet Withnail was sent 31/05 and came yesterday...

Early on the 30th whilst my commando was sent later that eventing. Commando came Monday.
