I've not received this yet either. Only film from the releases Zavvi sent out last week which I ordered more than 1 copy of. And the only one which hasn't arrived yet.

This is by far the best Steelbook of the titles released on June 3rd. Not only is a great film, but the artwork is fantastic. The embossing is amazing and it has a finish to match. The Fox Steelbooks were nice, but the finish leaves a lot to be desired. This on the other hand has the complete package. Every Steelbook release should be like this. This is up there with WFRR in my opinion, I hope Disney continue this amazing streak with the titles coming up later in the year.

No quality issues with this one either, whereas all of my Fox Steelbooks had a paint issue or two.

Two copies arrived from zavvi, both with spine slashes. No replacement stock according to zavvi 'customer services'. Shame, lovely looking steel but totally frustrating experience as a customer.

Well my copies had slash marks that must've happened after manufacturing as the selophane that its wrapped in had slash marks that went right through to the actual steelbooks. I want to like zavvi, I really do - so many steelbooks I'm keen on but I'm nervous with every order that they'll be faulty - especially on the popular ones like this.

how exactly are spine slashes caused?

It's caused when a careless employee uses a case-cutter or Stanley knife to open a case of SteelBooks, and cuts too deeply, thus slicing through the centre of the spine on almost every item inside the case. Also known as box-cutter samurais. They can do a great deal of damage in a relatively short period of time without even knowing

what the hell... putting foam on the inside of the cases would be a cheap fix... so when they slice them open all that gets cut is the foam. i think this would be cheaper than paying for postage for returns.
