both copies covered with fine scratches both on front and back. no dings or dents though. and yes i asked kindly for a replacement and this is what they offered me. of course i went with the "happy to wait" option.

Sounds like a restock to me, so anyone buying this off eBay at the moment may be in for a nasty surprise.
i'm thinking the same..or they are just checking QC issues as well. The Burning was in and out of stock for a while..

Zavvi have also given the lower price to those that did not cancel at higher price without customers customers contacting zavvi and requesting pre order price promise which was a surprise as most times you have to contact them to get it
Yes, quite agree, and I'm guessing the story ain't finished until the fat lady sings (i.e. until Zavvi puts out the remaining stock they are sitting on and not until those final copies are sold).
