Been trying to check, some days I forget, it's been that long, I would hope it is announced before it happens but there is no certainty with Zavvi.

Given the complaints about the back, I'd guess Zavvi won't announce anything anytime soon.

Nothing is certain with Zavvi, they aim to sell out mainly, any complaints to them they mostly want pics of damages and offer discounts first.

So are ninjas that are getting them replaced doing it through Zavvi or through Eureka?

I would not be on this... Remember the 1st twilight times release of fright night. after 2 years they were still selling for 250/280 $
the price went down only after the german blu-ray release and the twilight times 30th anniversdary new pressing.

usually all these hyped zavvi releases end up being priced almost at cost after a while.. this may be popular, but its far far away from being marvel or star wars and 2000 is not exactly a small print run for this kind of movie

I disagree
i think you are right with the usual zavvi hyped. noticed this myself many times.
But here we talk : Fright Night. A movie with a big fanbase, and a lot of collectors in this fanbase.
both twilight releases (3000 and 5000 copies) still sell for at least 3x the original prices, even if the movie is available on amaray blu-ray for a few bucks from amazon germany.
the 4 hours documentary "you're so cool brewster" (just released) is selling well and went over his goal on kickstarter.
I think you underestimate how popular this movie is
