I know zavvi are a shop and don't set the rrp or srp. they don't have anything to do with the artwork as well. the film company or whoever sells them sets the rrp or srp, but this doesn't stop zavvi selling the item at a price that suits the demand. by testing the water they no they can sell the item at rrp or very close to that, due to the high demand.

Watched this again a few months ago and apart from a few great scenes, didn't really think it held up that well. Sure I'm in the minority here but I actually preferred the remake. Looks like a nice package though!
totally agree the movie really hasnt aged well and much prefer the remake like yourself, and at 24.99 zavvi can keep it,

Zavvi started selling the burning for 17.99 minus code of 10%. demand was high for this SB so they put the price up to 24.99 the original rrp. if they knew demand was going to be so high in the first place they wouldn't of dropped the price to 17.99. zavvi are a shop and there to make money.

Don't know about anyone else but I really, really hope that we get to see Fright Night part 2 at some point, not seen it in so many years.

To be fair Fright Night 2 is a pretty dire film. Caught in on Film 4 a few months back and time has not been kind to it. It doesn't help that the film has serious continuity problems with it. Like the way Highlander 2 contradicts the first film!

Oh I know trust me!

I see people pay silly money for some absolute crap releases (design and disc content) and here comes a BD of 80's cult classic horror FRIGHT NIGHT loaded with a brand new 4K restoration and 2 hour documentary PLUS other new and exclusive goodies (making it the DEFINITIVE release of the film by a good couple of miles!)with steelbook art featuring key original theatrical artwork instead of some photoshopped bollox AND its from Eureka which is quite possibley the most prestiged Studio in the UK for catalogue AND AV quality and people are Moaning about the £25 price tag!

I seriously don't understand!

In my defence I complained about the price before knowing the extras and the restored picture.

Not bad extras

This is going to be big seller looking at all the social media comments and other web forums comments this has lot of collectors excited and that's before Eureka have officially announced the release.
Don't be surprised if this sells out fast when it does go live for real

Bought the German Blu-ray a while ago but seeing as how Eureka has the distribution rights (for how long is the question) I highly doubt this release will disappoint.

Would love to see this get the steel treatment too. One of my favorite sequels. Regine's 'performance' scene really shat me up as a kid  I'd seen far worse but something about it just got under my skin.

Problem with Fright Night 2 is distribution rights issues it's all over the place and not sure if they even still have the original negatives to do a proper remastering

Not cancelling my order regardless, I would pay plenty for this one and it is going to be a grail. I would never say that normally but on this occasion, it will be.
