Book a day off work to pre order.. that made me smile, that's dedication :notworthy::thumbs:

Love the film Chunk and it just reminded me of when me and my brother watched this and we loved it. We even drew a comic as we couldn't wait for it to come out on VHS, and when it did we watched it loads of times but the bloody VHS recorder felt hungry and chewed the tape

Same here:thumbs: I watched this a lot with my brother and sister when we were kids.. so many great memories. I'm really looking forward to all the special features and I've not watched this film in a very long time so I'm looking forward to seeing it again (I remember it quite well though cos we kiled our tape growing up), and I love the nostalgia of the artwork used for this too, I hope we see more of our favourites get the steelbook treatment from that era, so many great movies back then.

 lol, stupid tape players, they liked to do that when your fav movie was in it... you should be safe with a blu ray disc though.. fingers crossed:)

Have you still got your comic?

I didn't see this movie at the cinema cos of the age rating as I was only about 8 when this came out but lukily my parents didn't really care what we watched so this was rented as soon as it hit the local video shop.. happy times:joy:

I'm sure that everyone was happy when they settled with this excellent poster to promote the film - and when it was used as the cover of countless home video releases - and more than happy that these two shown below were rejected in favour of that one.
The two artworks below can be found listed under "Famous Movie Posters You've Never Seen" and are the unseen/unpublished artworks from the movie poster campaigns designed to promote the original FRIGHT NIGHT film.
SOURCE (2011): "Jay Allen Sanford at the SAN DIEGO READER posted a two-part blog called “Famous Movie Poster Rejects You’ve Never Seen” featuring rejected poster artwork for films that he once cataloged for a client."

vs.

Interesting bit of trivia for those of us of a certain age: the name of the protagonist Peter Vincent was taken from the names of two horror icons Peter Cushing and Vincent Price.

Interest in the film was so high in 2015 that the TT limited edition of 5,000 re-release for the film's 30th Anniversary release packed with Extras sold out in 48 hours.

If there one day to be a FRIGHT NIGHT 2 steelbook then hopefully they'lll use this original poster design for the front cover (for obvious reasons):-

Fright Night 2 wasnt as good as the first. But it was fun. Still got my Twilight Time Re-release on his baby but that steelbook is lookin good!

Fright Night 2 was funnier from what I remember. Great cult films and AWESOME extras.... But that price is a bit much :/

To be fair Fright Night 2 is a pretty dire film. Caught in on Film 4 a few months back

Are you sure about that? I'm pretty sure Fright Night 2 hasn't been screened on TV in decades. Especially not Film 4 as I watch that closely every week and I would have seen it.

There are 2 Fright Night 2's though if I'm not mistaken. The 80's one and a remake. I'm guessing you saw the 2013 one and not the original.

Anyway, I wonder what the print run for this will be?

Fright Night 2's been on uh... Movie Mix I think it was a few times this year. Could be wrong about the channel but it's definitely been on more than once this past year.

This is on film 4 tonight and it's been a very long time since I last see it so I'm looking foward to watching.
Hopefully get to stick an order in when it goes live

Fright Night 2 (1989) shown on TV on occasions is a 1080i Paramount USA broadcast TV version and is what has been used on Bootleg Blu-ray releases and paramount USA provied a HD Master of this for the German Blu-ray/DVD Mediabook (1080p) release from 84 Entertainment

Problem is there is still distribution rights issues not sorted for release in other countries.

Can't even remember Fright Night 2. I'm guessing it was one of those many films that went straight to video over here.

Fright Night 2 is one of the few that is as good as the 1st .

IF it has ever been on TV I have missed it otherwise I would have been in like a ferrit .

This and the second film is a dream release for me :) .

I know this is no good to anyone now, but Fright Night 2 was shown at the Irish Film Institute this past weekend as part of the Horrorthon Festival.

I sadly couldn't make it to the screening but by all accounts it looked fantastic, "blu-ray quality" on the big screen, & is probably a once in a lifetime screening of the movie in Ireland.

Most likely was the German Blu-ray release from 84 Entertainment they used

Well, it was probably just DCP. Which is basically a Blu ray.
(Let's be honest, Digital Cinema in theaters is watching a blu ray on a big screen).

IFC has ability to show a mix of formats
They have 70mm projection system in Cinema 1
IFI is the only cinema in the country screening films in all possible formats – from Digibeta, DVD, Blu-ray and DCP, to 8, 16, 35 or 70mm. It also screens film in 3D

I have just ordered the German Mediabook Blu-ray of Fright Night 2
I ordered before it's to late to get a copy at a decent price

If UK rights can be sorted for Fright Night 2 Blu-ray I will get that release whenever it gets released as long as it's from a decent distributor
Hopefully Arrow Video can sort something out as they would do a decent release
