If not shipped by Thursday/Friday/Saturday it won't be shipped till 28th or after
Zavvi are closed both Sun 25th/Mon 26th and Tue 27th no orders are shipped on Bank Holidays
Zavvi Christmas open/close
Sunday 25th December Closed
Monday 26th December Closed
Tuesday 27th December Closed

Zavvi change release dates as you know when the supplier not delivered in time so it's possible this might have a release date change or be shipped a few days after 27th

I really wanted to know if anyone actually knew, not the usual guess work. I know how things work and I'm only interested in the facts on this occasion.

If Eureka have said the release date is 26/12 then that's the release date.

I remember when Zavvi released the Pain and Gain Steelbook in Boxing Day a few years ago. If I remember correctly that arrived between Christmas and new year.

Zavvi can't ship until they get the stock from Eureka
Christmas time you get delays with suppliers
The release date is 26th unless Zavvi update it
Eureka also listed the release date as 26th December when they announced the release

If Zavvi get the stock before 26th they can ship Thur/Fri/Sat
If not it will be 28th or a updated release date
No orders will be shipped on 25/26/27

Some distributors don't allow early shipping before release date

Don't forget there is bulk orders still to be cancelled yet and that wont happen until zavvi start to charge debit cards
Lot of the ebay listings have been looked at by zavvi and eureka

Depending on the amount of orders cancelled this wont last long when it comes back in stock it will sell out fast what stock is made available

I wish I were psychic so I could predict the 5 minute window this will be available for purchase again. Sadly, gluing myself to a computer 24/7 isn't an option

You really think they do look at ebay listings ?
I can hardly believe any major company loosing their time doing this.
BTW, it is kind of unfair if they cancel the "bulk" orders on release date, they could have done this earlier, and if they don't want people to buy in bulk why do they allow to add so much in the cart ? If i had bought 10 copies of fright night i do not see any valid reason for them to cancel the order i had succesfully placed. Is there any restriction in their sales terms and condition ? If not they should not be allowed doing this.

Zavvi regularly cancel bulk orders that's why you see before and after release date sold out releases come back in stock

Zavvi under terms and conditions can cancel any order if they suspect it's been purchased for resale or distribution

Do they have the rights to do this ?
Yes it's in Zavvi terms and conditions
The products purchased on this site are for private and domestic use only and are not for re sale

The products sold on the Website are not for re-sale or distribution. You are limited to a purchase of 5 items of any one product. We reserve the right to cancel orders and/or suspend accounts where we believe products are being ordered in breach of this provision.

Didn't opened it yet, i will let you know. You have one ?
But you mention 100.

From their website : We also added 1000 posters to random parcels

Is this a typo ?
Yes it was a typo
I did not get a poster so I asked them to explain why I did not get a poster
They replied to me it was a typo and was only 100 random orders got the poster

I suggested to them to update the post on Facebook but they haven't done so

It's Zavvi they are a complete law onto themselves at times .

It's no different than Amazon UK with their 'you may order a maximum of one copy' restrictions on imported US titles, or numerous other websites that deal with collectables.

Any company is well within their right to limit the amount of sales of specific items per customer. There is no law about it in regards to these kind of sales as retail is a private business. As long as their terms and conditions are available to the consumer then it's all above board.

Where Zavvi go wrong really, is their website should allow a maximum of 5 of the same item in your basket if that's the limit they want to impose. It makes it difficult for customers, and indeed themselves, by only cancelling orders once payment processing starts. If they had a 'live' inventory then that would make it even easier.
