Looks stunning, really hoping we see other horror classics of the era get this treatment. House, The Gate, Critters etc would be awesome in this style.

My copy just arrived and it seems to work fine on my multi region blu ray player (currently set to Region A) despite it saying Region B on casing and disc.

My copy arrived this morning as well. I don' know why people are surprised it's all region. I have plenty of discs in my collection that are stipulated as either region A or B and they end up being all region. I switched my machine to region A and it played fine. My favourite is Koch Media. 95% of their discs are all region.

I think it looks great. There's no need for fancy gimmicks like embossing and special finishes when the front artwork is so strong. The back could be better of course (the back art from the booklet would have worked well as @BluSteel2012 mentioned) but otherwise I have no complaints. :)

Normally I would be playing this classic as I've been waiting ages for it but tonight it's Singing in the Rain and Star Wars..... and will watch Fright Night tomorrow night.

I like the use of the original artwork as the menu screen, but they missed the opportunity to add any music. It's just silent.

If not music, then I would have added ambient creepy outdoor sounds and make the window light flicker on & off showing the silhouette.

Not a rant, but more of something I would have done if I was designing the menu. :)

Seems to be some issues with QC on this release, I was lucky I guess having only the back covered in scratches, paint chips or any marks to the front really sucks. Sorry for all who have the front of the steel with defects. It's not like any of us can return it for a fresh copy, it's a shame when it's so limited that the steels were not fully inspected before they were sealed.

Really great artwork though, nice little booklet, awesome disc extras, and a good price. Fingers crossed for more 80's steels:cigar:

Got Mine today and it's covered in scrapes on the back

Not happy

i always preferred silent menus (like other eurekas, but also critierion releases) over the same 1-minute loop playing all over again. the movie start usually has more effect when the main title track arrives on fresh ears. :)
