I for one, appreciate how this process was handled. Though I understand that I probably could have purchased a copy from Kimchidvd if they had allotted the entire amount to their site- I honestly think this gave HDN members a higher chance of participating and receiving a copy. During the second GB, people had a good 4-5 minute window to get the 1/4 slip edition comfortably and then another 20 minutes to get in on the lenticular version. The people in charge of these experiences, do it with our best interest in mind- and I'm grateful for that!

The #1 Source.. THE ONLY SOURCE! Bow down to this SH!T!

I don't understand some people complaining about pieces set aside for a HDN Group Buy when the fact is, if it wasn't for HDN and our Members & Staff here no one would even know this or countless other Steelbooks exist in the first place! :hilarious:

I would have preferred to have ordered directly from Kimchi. Not that I have a problem helping this site with group buy fees but if the full alotment was available directly through the retailer, I probably would have gotten both copies and I would have been able to use Bill Me Later. I'm just glad it's over and I got one copy but overall the experience was not good. Thanks to HDN, at least I could get one.

Agreed. Whilst I appreciate the GB ( glad I got in  ), reduced stock levels make it much harder to order from Kimchi. I get the intention is to get this in the hand of many collectors as possible, but at an inconvenience to some like me who would rather order direct. Its true that kimchi's customer base grows with each successful release. I hope a happy medium can be reached to accommodate all.

Yeah, over 1300+ people viewing the forum on Wave #1

I think there were only around 1100 viewing on Wave #2

We did OK considering. :movie:

I am not sure about how HDN servers are setup and their capacity but I still feel it is a bit low.

Looks like I am spoilt and expeting too much coming from an Internet banking background where our systems can cope up to 12000 sessions. :):ohno:

Part of it is location - where the server is located in the central / west coast of the USA, so it takes a bit for a round trip to get info back to you (and for me on the east coast it was a bit slow even).

Further to that point, our forum software is now a legacy system and we'll be looking to improve the user experience in the future.

It's always on to the bigger, better, and most importantly, the best user experience we can provide here on HDN.

Stay tuned for exciting things to come! :movie: :D

It stood tall though and it certainly didn't crash. It took me a while to get the page to load to add my name but found it quicker loading from my iPad than my laptop.

Thanks to all at HDN and KimchiDVD, I think everyone did the best under an extremely high demand situation.

Thanks for the clarification and the heads up bud.

I still managed to snag a copy of the Lenti few seconds before lock out.

Haven't been so nervous and anxious even for my marriage.:hilarious:

got my copy in the second group buy. A huge thanks to all involved in this!! I think the next feeding frenzy will be for Captain America Winter Soldier....I know nothing has been announced from Kimchi yet but i'm sure they will do it. I think Blufans will be doing it. New release Marvel & Disney titles will always get a huge response.

We split the group buy for the lenticular and 1/4 slip versions in half.

So wave 1, which went live at 10pm ET (USA) last night had 150 copies for the lenticular and 50 copies for the 1/4

If you posted after the person that got post #151 (or copy #150), then your request was deleted and you had to come back for wave #2.

Glad you got one.

Oh okay, that makes sense. Thanks for the info!
