That's it? REALLY?

Out of the re-releases this was one I wouldn't have minded with how poor the WW release was but this is just....well.....it's like the Original WW artwork with Elsa has just been overlayed slap dash with another picture.

Come on that's so f****** lazy.

Lol. If you already got the original then don't you need to care what this looks like!

I'm surprised Monsters and Rocketeer were released. Thought they finish the rest of the Toy Stories. Guess they will eventually release most of the wave since the Rocketeer was released which I never had put them on to do. I can't imagine all these Lenti's will sell out and be officially OOS. £25 and no discount code quite expensive. I be waiting for a few bargains at least. The marvel lenti's all took a while for them to go OOS so I can imagine, except for certain titles, these would still be floating with Zavvi after release date.

Yeah the rocketeer did surprise me tbh

But I was expecting monsters, I don't know any one who's seen it and don't like it. Especially when comparing to say brave.

They don't do anything in order so I imagine the other toy stories will come soon

Yeah some will stay in stock. Especially this close to Christmas

I do agree that this design is pretty w*nk.

Could of been much better

Im not bothering with the other disney rerelease's but this one i will be grabbing as i prefer the artwork and the title, the original was matte so if this is matte it doesnt matter, if gloss then its a massive bonus.

W**nk or not, this will go OOS before release date, no doubt, guaranteed. It makes me think that Disney have rushed these releases quickly for financial reasons. When you rush a whole load out, each release has less thought and consideration. Only six weeks before Xmas, I wonder how many more releases they can fit in on their schedule to the build up to xmas.

I do need to care because I wanted this to be better because I hate the title-less, boring artwork we got which was so out of place of the other artworks in the Disney collection

Go put them together and they are usually consistent in their own way but put in Frozen or Zooptopia and you'll see they stick out like a sore thumb.

I would have happily double dipped to replace the ones I have.

Well personally, I'm not bothered as I upgraded my WWA with the blufans version which is a lovely copy. I probably still get this anyway as the Kids are a massive fan of Frozen. Crap artwork or not.

I never said it wouldn't go OOS

Loads of bad steels sell out. Add Disney to the title of the steel and it will most likely fly quicker

Eveyone knows how mad people go for them and marvel steels

Ive been there since day 1 with zavvis Disney & Pixar collection and know how quickly they can sell out.
But every so often they push their luck with print runs (jungle book) or overestimate the love of certain title that did stick around for a while or just provide terrible art. But like you said these will eventually all sell out but also like you said a couple will stick around for a while. Even if they do sell out at pre order stage
Some poeple will have to pick an choose because of money situations and it being so close to Christmas

Can't think of any out of the zavvi Disney and Pixar collection that "deserves" a better re release steel than monsters uni. It's by far their worst steel with a awful finish maybe followed by Fantasia. I think frozens finish is crappy too but it's miles better than monsters uni

And the same goes for all the other matte collection, they are all better than MU

MU's box office gross was half that of FROZEN's. That means for every person that wants MU, there are likely two who will buy FROZEN. It's not that hard to justify.

So why don't you buy the ammray if its just for the kids? And save some money.
You don't really sound like you want it yourself but will buy it just to watch when you already own 2 copies but are considering a third for the kids.

I'm not having a go at you wanting more than 2 different versions because like many and most likely like yourself I own certain films in various steels (because I love that film so much or the art is killer)

But I'm not talkng about box office.
Im talking about the Steelbook.
You know.... what we are here to collect.

Not knowledge on what did better at the cinema. That's not why I'm on this site.

It's a bad steel and the most deserving IMO of a re issue because of how bad the art is for such a great vibrant looking film

it's similar to the Transformer movies. Many people say they are crap and you have all these haters that love to give one star on IMDB. But the most important point is that the franchise averages $1B per movie. Regardless if its shite or not people still pay to see it and the movies will continue to be the same theme as they keep making so much money. That is ALL that matters to Paramount. So I will keep expecting the same type of releases from Disney.

I do have the aamray. Because kids can have collectible items as well, not just for adults.

..and that is exactly why you do not understand why a retailer would re-release FROZEN over MU.

Feel free to complain or dislike it, but retailers are not in the business of losing money.

The first is amazing, the others are crap but entertaining brainless fun. I liked the whalberg one too.

That's why so many bad films get sequels. Loads see it but the films turns out to be crap but because they made so much a sequel gets green lit and not of the basis of how good it was. Then when the sequel comes out we think "oh but it could be better" so they make a killing again but the film was also crap, but it made as much as the first so a third gets green lit lol and so on

Oh my god are you seriously not understanding what I'm saying?

I never once said I don't get why they are releasing frozen over MU

I never once said they will loose money releasing frozen again

I'm saying it's the most deserving because of a bad steel. In a perfect world kind of thing.
It's nothing to do with what it made and what the retailers will achieve and put in their pocket.

I serioulsy don't know how many more ways to word it to you

And don't patronise me about what I understand about profit and retailers. I may know a hell of a lot more than you. You don't know that

I couldn't care if they release frozen again. The WWA isn't the best and they could of done a stunning stellar job on this one. I would of considered it if i liked the art

Yep it's all about money bud. Until they day when it grosses say $300 - 400m worldwide, considering each movie cost $200m to make + marketing costs etc, then they will get rid of Michael Bay (although he said that is his last movie for the third time lol) and go for a totally new direction and script writers, or Stop the Franchise altogether. ID4 Resurgent sequel would be risky to green light considering it did quite poor at the box office, T5 probably managed to scrape the next sequel.

In relation to these Disney's expect the same re-releases and the same theme. If it sells it's all that matters. TBH I don't think they care what we think and what they think of our thoughts. Like you said 'Disney' and it will sell out. The company name is worth Billions.

They will never care

Look at over the years all the non steel related re releases and Disney and villain slips and diamond editons etc.

We spoke about it before in one of the other new Disney threads but all studios re release and anniversary editons etc that's common knowledge and Disney are one of kings of this. It's not new at all like you say.

Yeah it's annoying at first because we got all the originals or had to pay a bit more for certain releases you miss but it's always going to happen and once you get over it it's not too bad. I said to you before I'll consider all titles that either I love the new art, now comes with a 3D disc that didn't before, a spine title that didn't have one before or a steel that's got a gloss finsh that had a matte previously.

I have a PET for the WWA frozen so I don't need to worry about getting one with a spine title. But if i loved this art I would consider it

Monsters uni is the one I would say is the one worth re doing. That's the worst so far, far more worse than frozen a WWA. Finsh is bad on both but monsters uni is a huge p*ss take. Luckily i got the German version cheap with the 3D and bonus disc

So I would be welcome to that with the backart as the front and brighter than that dull metalic look it's got
Forgot about that one! The steel was definitely worse than Frozen, so it's another re-release I'd welcome, especially since I actually enjoyed the movie.
