Completed Game Of Thrones (Season 8) [HBO]

Seen the first 5 episodes now and must admit it is growing on me. The characters and character development is really great. Not that much action so far but I have a feeling that will change.

Anyone have some views on this series?

I am a late comer. Trying to catch up. Halfway through season 2 atm. A little difficult to watch at times mostly due to its sex scenes.

ive loved this season so far and last couple of episodes may appear to be dragging story wise but each is leading to something much bigger, im expecting. For example, (ill spoiler tag stuff from last episode just incase people havent seen yet):

I reckon:

Jorah & Tyrion - heading to the Fighting pits will lead to them meeting Daenerys as well as action from the Fighting Pits

Stannis is heading to Winterfell to fight the Boltons so expect an epic battle

Ramsay now is become even more evil to the viewer whilst Theon is slowly become someone the fans want to see turn good again. I expect Season will end with Theon & Sansa forming an alliance and taking down Ramsay. Brienne & Pod arent to far either so they could team up with them to.

Jon Snow story seems to be turning him against the Night's Watch. Perhaps we'll eventually see him leave (possible since Stannis has already said if he becomes Jon Stark then he can be excused from nights watch)

Cersei hidden partnership with High Sparrow is going to "bite her on the bum" as the saying goes. Everyone else's secrets are getting out so expect hers to as well and then she'll get her punishment, finally.

Jaime & Bronn, i can see them eventually getting killed by the Martells or hopefully, they'll join up with the Martells in hope of finally getting a proper King & Queen. Why would Jaime agree? because the Queen would be his Daughter.

I'm also LOVING every bit of this Season! I just know something HUGE is coming! The anticipation is building with every new episode, I'm intrigued and worried at the same time!

Yep agree @bloodsnake007 last few episodes will be so much fill of actions and consequences as every major character so far are involved in something. The end payoff will be sweet.

Whats intriguing me more is that if all of bad guys finally get whats coming to at the end of this season, where is season 6 going to go. That almost guarantees that at least one of bad guys is going to worm away. Im hoping Ramsay out of anyone and there is still some more he can do outside of winterfell and would love to see a reverse of him being hunted next season, i reckon Cersei hasnt really got much more she can do so cant see her character lasting until next seasons finale. Maybe she'll survive this season but get got by mid way next year. Littlefingers constant playing of everyone will eventually catch up with him but can see that mirroring Cersei story in that in the end, hes finally get played himself, probably by Sansa once Ramsay is got rid of.

As for future partnerships im hoping:

Daenerys & Tyrion - will turn Daenerys into a real Queen and with Tyrions advice will finally rule proper with hardly any consequences eg revolts & killings.

Jon Snow & Stannis (actually works better than i expected as Jon could still learn alot from Stannis)- still think Wall & Knight Watch story can continue but perhaps Stannis eventually becomes Lord Commander. If Stannis keeps trying to become king then i can see it only ending with him getting killed.

Sansa & Theon w/ Brienne & Pod - would be perfect pair for the North with Brienne as head of Queens Guard (Sansa would be Queen of the North) with nights of Vale as there Army. Plus, Pod must stay as hes enjoyable.
