No Direwolves again. I get that they "wander" but it really sticks out, especially in Bran's camping party scenes.
Robb and his wife is weird, because it's a different character than in the books. Jeyne Westerling is his bride there and her mother says that she had been slipping her birth control mixtures so that she couldn't breed, although I think the Blackfish later does claim that she is pregnant. The fact that Talisa in the show is pregnant is yelling "DOOM" to me. I think she's for the chop at Edmure's wedding. That, or she's Twyin's agent.
Jaime's really becoming one of the best characters on the show. He's had some great episodes this season, the last one no exception. There were some continuity issues with Brienne's wounds in the bear pit scene, which is a step below the show's usual high standards. But it was overall great. Locke is a great antagonist too, he basically is Vargo without the lisp. My regrets that Vargo was cut are now certainly gone. I have a feeling that Locke will reappear in Brienne's arc from Feast for Crows, replacing Shagwell the fool perhaps.
Jaime starts training almost immediately after he gets back to King's Landing, as it's not that long before he leaves again to beseige Riverrun. Unfortunately we won't get to see him spar with Ilyn Payne in the show, as the actor has pulled out due to terminal cancer of the pancreas.

I'm not sure who could replace him as Jaime's tutor. Meryn Trant? I never got the impression that Trant was anything but useless though.
The dragons were awesome, and it's great to see Rheagal and Viserion get some screentime as well as their brother. I've been blown away by the dragons every time they've been onscreen, both in design terms and the quality of the animation. And I still want one.
Still have a feeling that Yunkai is replacing Meereen. In the book, Yunkai
does capitulate to Dany's demands; they free their slaves and get left alone in return. In the show, it's building into a definite conflict.
'Boy'. *sigh*
Ramsey is my single biggest disappointment of this season, hands down. The showrunners really get Theon right, so it's really a shame that they just don't nail Ramsey. They've played up the sadist and lunatic aspects of his character to the detriment of everything else. He's a psychopathic control freak with rage issues and no empathy, and I just don't get that feeling from the jokey/giggly torturer on the show. He would also never, and I mean
never, have female accomplices. If you're a woman in or around the dreadfort, you live in fear every day wondering when the bastard will **** and/or flay you. As to the castration, I just thought it was better implicit.
