Wow, C.C. 95. All four are beautiful. If that would be my mystery tube I would be a lucky guy. Expecially Buck Rogers and the Captain America Print are both two of my favorites.

@Wreck that's the thing I've often thought of picking up those premade $60 frames at michaels but you feel them and they feel so flimsy and I'm like why bother, but again I am of the frame less at higher prices mind

also the glass, acid free backing, and them assembling it, etc adds up so if I was doing bulk framing $100 doesn't seem that bad from Michaels and she may be doing a mat I would have to confirm, I was more making a point that it was a no frills type of job, but in the end I would put one of the no frills custom jobs at Michaels above a premade frame

the problem with going outside of Michaels, and I really would like to support a local frame shop, is that on a big poster (24 x 36) it would end up costing me double and that is where I draw the line

@C.C. 95 maybe an independent shop would do a bulk deal but Michaels (or an AC Moore or whatever big box custom frame store you have) will just go by what the coupon is.

@C.C. 95 the $260 price was for one print, but again i got the frame, mat and an accent which as @Wreck can attest to is a good price for a large 24 x 36 print

$100 would be more bare bones with really just the frame and glass...

Was really excited for my Tom Whalen Back to the Future print but it appears to be lost in the mail. The tracking says it was delivered in a city 10 hours away earlier in the week.

@jcm who knows might still show up .... tracking can be crazy sometimes. I had some crazy tracking recently.

My Stout Goonies was supposed to be delivered on Sat, then on Monday. No updates since the 5th on the tracking where it was in Texas. I am not a happy camper...

Now this is how you restore a poster!!

When I visited Las Vegas in 2011 I got quite friendly with a memorabilia store in Manadalay Bay hotel. Whilst buying my signed framed Total Recall poster he showed me a 'Twins' 10 x 8 picture signed by both Arnold and Danny DeVito. As tempted as I was I left it as I'd rather have a poster.

About 6 months go by and I get an email from them telling me that they have just found me a signed Twins poster, but not in the best shape..... I bought it and this was what arrived -

Obviously in a very very bad shape, but I expected this.

I then searched around the internet for a poster restorer to have it restored and linen backed. I found someone, and sent the poster over to him. He had it for a few weeks, and the day came when it would come back. The guy told me not to expect miracles as the poster was in bad shape...... I didn't know what to expect, especially as he had only charged me £65!

This is what I received back -

 :scat: :oohyeah: :scat: :oohyeah:

As you can see all of the rips have been repaired, all the missing bits of the poster have been replaced and it looks brand new!

Needless to say I was over the moon, and it just proves that no matter how bad you buy something at, you can get it fixed.

This is now framed and waiting to be hung on a wall when I buy a house next year :)
Wow, that's an impressive restoration job!
I have a bus stop size one of one of the Dark Knight movies that a good friend got me that needs some restoration work done. Can you please pm me your guy's info so I may use him too?

my frame had a scratch in it across the width was not happy so Michael's is reordering the frame and it will be another week! ARG!

I Don't have time today to create threads for tomorrow releases of part 2 from the Marvel show. Just be on the lookout for them at Mondo

I aquired quite a few Dan McCarthy non-movie related prints. I'm using stock photos because it would just be too hard to try to take pics of all of them. (They are in tubes, heading for a Portfolio file, before getting framed one by one as budget allows).
