Hi guys, I started buying ZAVI Steels not too long ago. I noticed this one the spec says REGION 2. Does it mean that it will be region locked? I have a region free 2D player, but my 3D player is a SONY S490 and I have yet to find a crack to make a non-Region A 3D disc play in it.
Or, is there a good 3D Region Free BR player that is affordable in Canada?
Any pointers will be appreciated.

Saw this last night in 3D, I'm a big fan of the franchise (SAC especially) and I think they did a pretty decent job with the movie. The visuals were nigh on perfect, the opening of the movie especially was excellent, but the plot was quite generic. The action scenes were awesome and the 3D was actually quite decent. It was definitely far from perfect - I would've preferred a more Japanese cast (loved Batou actor though), use of original GitS score, a less 'Major-centric' plot, and more Togusa/Saito/Ishikawa involvement (the new addition to Section9 was kind of pointless IMO).

Back to the steelbook: I liked it enough to keep my pre-order, but I think I prefer the more colourful international versions. I don't hate this design though!

Yes, can't go wrong with original poster art inside and out . . even if it means a colour change to the inside to keep with the gorgeous scarlet of the exterior.

i know - i really do know - that Scarlett is one of the big selling points of the film. but you've got 3 print areas and every one of them features her with the same appearance? in a film with such rich imagery, they couldn't find room for anything else? seems a bit of a missed opportunity.

Yeah I missed it. Ordered from amazon.de as a back up but they have the release date as the end of December which is odd.
