Hello, HDN!

Now that all pre-orders have shipped and we've worked our way through the issues (Customers who did not receive the 3D SteelBook due to a supplier issue, should now have been shipped the 4K SteelBook with the option of getting a 3D disc) we've got a limited amount of the 4K Limited Edition SteelBook remaining.

We'll be putting these back on sale at 3pm.

Will people who manage to get a copy this time around also have the opportunity for the 3D disk?

No, that was only for customers who ordered the 3D SteelBook and weren't able to receive one due to a manufacturing & supplier issue.

@zavvi

Well, I think you should wait for everyone to receive their copy, before selling remaining 4K steelbooks in my opinion: what if someone doesn't receive its own 3D steelbook, due to a mail issue? What if it arrives damaged (It's already happened, as you can see a few posts above)? I think it's better to have a stock for replacements, since there are people who ordered and are waiting for this steelbook since march

Just be aware Zavvi using cardboard mailer envelopes that offer no protection my copy was ok thankfully but mine was mailed by the hut group which I know is the same company but not shipped in the usual slim white box they use for steels

Same here... my last few steelbooks from them arrived the same way, but were undamaged thankfully.

Will any stock be held back for replacements? I'm just about to send back a damaged copy.

I just can't believe after all these years you continue to send out steelbooks in flimsy packaging @zavvi
You guys never seem to listen and your work load with returns and refunds over the years must be insane.
I complained about the issue at least 4 years ago after having at least 30 returns over the years.
My mind boggles it really does ! (n)

Ik think this is the best you can do. Keep sending them back. One day someone will do the math and comes to the conclusion it's not only material costs, but also someone at customer service who costs money for replying emails and entering a new order in the system. :wow:

WOW $56.08 Canadian for the 4K?!! These were $29.99 Canadian in Canada with the glossy finish.

and how many Canadian retailers ship overseas for 99p postage? And you are aware that the price includes postage? If Zavvi were to follow Play.com/HMV model then it would make prices for UK customers lower whilst increasing it for overseas customers.

UK Steels like these generally command a good resale price in the secondary market. These have been selling for 10 above cost price which makes this a safe bet (at least for now).

Sorry I didn't realise we were now embracing the concept of re-selling steelbooks as the reason for buying them.
I have no intention of trying to put my kids through college with them like all those people who bought the Disney VHS tapes for a $100 a crack back when.

Even if Best Buy Canada did ship overseas the total cost of the steelbook with shipping would be $39.99 Canadian or £24.36 for the 4K glossy.

But I honestly don't want to get into a debate about it. I was just comparing prices.
This is a friendly forum. :)
