In celebration of this 200th post and the arrival of my copy of the German Lenticular Steelbook of Predator, I'm giving away my obsolete but sealed and mint Play Exclusive.

Just thank this post and post the first time you ever saw Predator. I just happened to stumble upon it on television late at night all alone when I was about 12. It felt like I discovered a cinematic treasure all by myself and I couldn't wait to tell my friends about it the morning after! :movie:

The first time I ever saw/heard of Predator, I was 9 years old (maybe I was 8?) and my dad brought home a rented copy of it from the local Video Store (Movie Hut - they had these huge BROWN plastic cases they put the VHS tapes in). He brought it home to watch and let me being the oldest (and my grandmother always let me watch horror/sci-fi movies even though they were rated R and I was young), he let me watch. I remember being terrified something could hide invisible to our eyes.

Great times, I love watching this movie and I always feel like I'm that age again with my dad watching it for the first time. He's still around, and I love him for letting me enjoy these movies as a kid. Plus, I got to use all the cool Arnold one-liners with my friends!

The first time I saw Predator was about two years ago. It was one of my first blu-rays I bought and watched. Loved the movie! One of Arnies classics.

No idea when I first watched it, if I was to guess it would either be with my dad or borrowing the VHS from him.
This guess would apply to about half the movies I own/have seen, I have definitely inherited his love of movies.

I snuck and stayed up late one night to watch it on HBO. I had to scour the newspaper tv guide for weeks in order to find out the exact time it was coming on haha

Saw it at the cinema when it first came out. Was blown away and then remember reading that Van Damme was the predator but stormed off set (if memory serves) after a few days. Love this movie.

I watched it in the early nineties. I was just a kid. I think around 7 years old. My dad was watching it on tv and I sat with him. It was such an awesome experience.

The first time I saw Predator was in the late 1980s, when I was a teenager. I remember thinking how cool it was to see so much muscle in one movie - Arnold, Carl Weathers, Jesse "The Body" Ventura (pre-politics), and others. And what a fun movie it was to watch!

Looking back on it now, it was sort of the father of The Expendables, in a sense. And there's certainly nothing wrong with that!
