[WINNER CHOSEN] Scorpius 1st giveaway

Hello everyone. Welcome to my first giveaway.
As some of you might know I have a lot of bad luck receiving dented or scratched steelbooks. This week I received my 25th damaged steelbook (Thor: the dark world...thnx Zavvi for the nice spine slash!). This deserves a celebration :oohyeah:
I will giveaway one steelbook that was replaced my Warnerbros France because it was missing a 3D disc.

The winner will receive The Hobbit: an unexpected journey
This is the French lenticular steelbook. The steelbook is in very good condition and comes with the lenticular magnet and the 2 2D discs. I will include the 2disc holder so you can put in your own 3D discs to complete the steelbook or you can remove it.

How to enter: Share your experience with damaged steelbooks. Perhaps you were lucky and never received one, tell us which titles you received damaged or show it with a picture.

Remember you may only post once in this topic. Multiple posts by one member puts you out of the contest!
Winner will be drawn at random.

The contest ends on my birthday: april 1 (not joking) at 23.59h West European time!
The winner will receive the steelbook by standard shipping. I will pay for worldwide shipping!

We don't have many experience with steelbooks. Only have 5/6 steelies.

But had a few bad surprives along the years.

In this one, "Edward" came swiming on the snow globe.

Fortanely we were able to replace them all.

I only had one steelbook that was dented badly and had a loose disc. Taxi Driver Zavvi. Emailed zavvi and they offered a refund of £2.50.:( Never ordered from them again.

I have been collecting since 2006 which started with DVD steelbooks. I hate to say and hope that I don't jinks myself but I have never gotten a damaged steelbook from any of my oversea retailer or members. :emb: Don't get me wrong I'm talking about damaged. I have received a few items with small dings and I think I request a replacement one time with Amazon.uk because the OCD in me kick in.

I got the Snow White and the Hundsman completly broken into two pieces. I can not give a picture here, because it was taken back and I got a new one.
This was the only damaged steelbook I ever got.

Last steelbook I got, The Nightmare after Christmas, came damaged on the spine. The worst experience I had was with The Green Hornet, bought on Ebay, that came almost bent in half!

The only damaged steelbook I've ever received would be the Halo 4 gaming steelbook. It was dented so bad that the inside plastic was actually shattered in multiple areas. Futureshop wouldn't replace it as they had no more. :(

They didn't offer me anything to compensate.

Thanks for the giveaway.

I received a damaged star trek into darkness steelbook from jb hifi and they can't send me a replacement because it has sold out. They offer to give me a refund if I send back the steelbook to Australia but I have to pay the shipping cost from California, USA :(

Been very lucky with steelbooks in my short time collecting. The only one I've had an issue with was black swan. Look like it had been packed by an angry cat!

I got quite a few damaged steelbooks. Mostly from Zavvi, but the one that was painful the most would be Blufans' WIR.

Thanks for the giveaway!

Well :)

My fun story is about odering The Raid from eBay from a great seller by the way.

Item arrived reasonably fast but upon arrival, this is what I saw.

|Looked as if a Tank went over it. It was crushing because I SO wanted it.

Anyway, seller still refunded me (Awesome seller, like I said) but a royal pity nonetheless.

I had a My Neoghbor totoro delivered with just a shipping label in it. No box, no envelope. Nothing. I'll find some pics to post

Thanks for the giveaway!

Two German steels have arrived with dents from amazon.de, Chinatown and The American but both were replaced with mint copies without me having to send the damaged one's back, so ended up OK in the end.

So far I have been quite lucky. The only damage I've had to a steel is a slight corner dent from an eBay purchase which was shipped in a bubble mailer, but it cost me £4 so I wasn't hugely upset.

I usually never get a steelbook which is flawless. Most of them have little paint chips but the one that most annoyed me was Le Grand Bleu kimchi exclusive as this could not be replaced and I didn't want to send it back to get a refund. From today's perspective I'm happy that I kept it and don't think it's that much of a deal anymore as it's usual that nothing comes to my house in 100% perfect condition ;) just keep calm and carry on ;)

Thanks for the give away
