With the recent announcement from blu-raydisc.de about Gladiator getting re-releaesed in Germany under Universal (region free :) ) with a new remastered version for its anniversary edition do you guys think a possible steelbook rerelease could be created? :ohno:

I guess if your a huge Gladiator fan (like me) you could import the discs and insert them in your gladiator steel if you have one opened :p (taiwan, ftw!)

Just watched the extended cut tonight - still awesome movie - awesome sound too! Love this SB too....too bad it has 2 little dents from shipping....

Movies.nl is such a disorganized site. Had my order in from 2 weeks and just received email from them saying that item is out of stock and they are refunding me. Took them 2 weeks to fins out stock levels? And you would have thought there be a discount offered for future purchase as apology....bit obviously not. Wanted this one too...grrr

It's too bad buddy! At least, they updated their website saying it's not available anymore... :p

I've been speaking to Bert this week and he said there's a small chance he gets some in stock next week.

I have a quick question. Between the first Dutch edition and the 10th steelbook, was there any difference in inside artwork? I think not, if some one can confirm this, would be nice. :)

I've always thought that the UK steelbook cover has the nicest looking front cover, beats this by miles, yes the fsk logos are printed but apart from that it's a beauty, the Australian slipcase has the same art but without the logos which is the nicest and most sought after but it's not a steelbook so the UK one for me at least is the nicest of the bunch, just my 2 cents ;)

thanks for the heads up....but I figured with all these releases coming I should just wait....since I already have two other Gladiator steelbooks, I shouldn't be so greedy.

The french version i believe has no internal artwork but the 10th anniversary has the orginal internal artwork plus the shiny sword and shield on the front. Now fairly difficult to find as it is OOP.
