The front art is PERFECT! That focus on the MOVIE and not on anything else! Studios, please LEARN from this!!!

Are the shield and sword as shinny as on the NL edition?

^^^ yes they are just shiny!! first thing I noticed.

Thanks Steelbook-pictures added to OP and thumb.

^^ no problem DB.

I have this and the NL steelbook and I prefer the NL. The one thing it has going for it is the lack of banners, but the cover is zoomed out more compared to the NL so it looks like there's wasted space. The sword and shield are still shiny, but Russell Crowe's body is a sticker or plastic piece pasted on the steelbook. I'm not sure how to describe that properly, but if you have the Thor or True Grit steelbooks, you should know what I'm talking about. Anyway, that combined with the fact that its only one disc and the NL version has inside artwork makes that version better IMO.

I have both as well and the clean artwork of this one for myself at least kills the NL version. The only positive imo for the NL is the zoomed in artwork as you say. Russell Crowe himself is exactly the same as the NL version... looks the same printed on top to me.... :wtf:
