No, you're not. As nice as the package looks, I can't justify buying 3 copies of this film. I'd be all over it if it were for some sort of trilogy (Dark Knight for example).

It's not just 3 copies of the same film. I would maybe have considered it if it was 3 different designs of the same film like Transformers 4. This is 3 copies of the same identical steelbook just with a different piece of cardboard wrapped around it. No thanks. Just Lenti will do nicely.

No. It means that the first 500 (numbered) copies of each release are sold in the Tri-Pack box sets. Separate steelbook numbers start from 501.

It will be 3 different versions of the same movie. Past examples are blufans Star Trek Into Darkness and currently in the works is Blufans Transformers 4 tripack.

This will not be the same as those mentioned. The Blufans releases you mention are all the same movie, but different steel artwork and different slips. Gladiator will be the same art on all 3 steelbooks, but the 2 slips and 1/4 slip will be different...

This will not be the same as those mentioned. The Blufans releases you mention are all the same movie, but different steel artwork and different slips. Gladiator will be the same art on all 3 steelbooks, but the 2 slips and 1/4 slip will be different...

Exactly. The actual steelbook and the actual discs will be identical. Only difference between the three steels will be the slips.

Tri packs are not a bad idea if there are different steelbook artworks represented in the package. Where it gets blurry and confusing is when the same steelbook is used in different styles. Amelie Kimchi for example had the same steelbook in 3 configurations. Lame IMO. The Blufans edition to their credit, although the same movie, has 3 different steelbook artworks. Those I do not mind a bit. I do love gladiator and will aim to get a lenticular. That's all I need.

You tend to get matching numbers on all 3 steelbooks, so if you are after all 3 then it's an extra little bonus
