I don't think it's necessarily that the lenti comes separate that's upsetting people, it's that it wasn't communicated until now. At the very least it should have been mentioned after it was delayed while there was an option to back out or swap to the full slip when the second group buys went live.

Just imo. I'm fine with it being loose though I still think it being a magnet would be a great idea for future releases.

I actually really like the white artwork but I can see why people are upset. I think there is a slight overreaction but on the other hand it is a bit ridiculous to suggest that collectors should glue the lenticular onto the slip themselves. I prefer not to use my limited DIY skills myself and I don't think anyone should have to for a release that costs upwards of $60 once all costs are factored in.
They're not suggesting gluing it on there yourself though. They're the ones that are going to be doing the gluing. I prefer not to have them glued at all, so that works out even better.

Sorry I was referring to the comments from some of the posters in the thread. I think HDzeta are doing the right thing in offering collectors the choice.

Really? If I want it glued I'd rather take the time to do it myself, carefully, than have a poorly paid factory worker do it in a hurry because they have 1000 to stick. Have you considered that the steelbooks may have to be removed from the sleeves first, increasing the risk of them being scratched?

I must have missed the post where Xin said they were going to get a factory worker to help all of us whilst rushing the job. Out of interest, what wage did they disclose this factory worker to be on? Just so I know whether I'm over the threshold of being poorly paid or not. ;)

We talk about the factory, they agreed gule the lenticard on the slip, its not separt after glue like the kimchi or Nova lenticular slip.

You're right, Chinese factories are famous for their high wages, that's why so many things are manufactured there

I've read the last 8 pages to catch up on Gluegate :cigar: this release has left Wall-E BF in it's dust for issues! I stopped counting at around 200 for the amount of times I read the word 'glue' :wacky: I would definitely be in the 'no glue' camp if i had it pre-ordered, just the thought of someone fingering my pristine steelbook could drive ya crazy! They might have just polished off a greasy snack in their break! :hilarious::smuggrin::wow:

I still can't see anywhere that says they are going to rush the job.

And in theory I suppose the cost of living for this factory worker would therefore determine whether their wage was high or low, not necessarily the sum they are getting paid.

But we digress... ;)

I think we should have access to real pictures of how it looks when the lenticular card is glued to the slipcover, before any of them are shipped our way.

Because I don't know, while these efforts are appreciated, gluing it at the last minute seems a bit desperate: you plan it from the get go or you don't, but there's a real possibility it doesn't look good at all. Is there a special technique being used? Is it just a guy in a factory doing exactly what I'd be doing at home except he's dealing with loads of copies? Because I wouldn't exactly expect it to look like a proper lenticular slipcover if glue is involved at this stage anyway.

That's why I think there should be the option to get a full refund. It hasn't been brought up yet to my knowledge, but it really does seem like a fair option given the circumstances and today's reveal. I know I wouldn't have signed up to the GB, had I known the lenticular card was separate from the whole thing.
