Warner release therefore I'm pretty certain the transfer is exactly the same worldwide. As far as I know only certain titles from Warner are defferent in the audio / video dept. Zodiac being one. It's a safe bet to assume the UK one is the same as your current Canadian copy.

I'm pretty sure The Shining UK is a different cut than the US. Both released by Warner.

Let´s flush out some more 80s classics on steelbook...

Now I only want "Romancing The Stone", "The Lost Boys", and "The Jewel Of The Nile".

I wouldn't want to read too much into this, but the inside artwork has been removed from Zavvi's website...

Yeah they've probably realised that the inner art was from Gremlins 2 and are hopefully changing it to artwork from the first film

If you don't like what Zavvi are producing there are cheaper alternatives.

Yes amarays. This is a forum about steelbooks though.

The artwork I mostly saw was the spine. Sometimes the artwork can bug us to no end but you know what folks be happy that our retailers even bother to give us a different alternative.

So they can churn anything out onto a steelbook and we should be happy?

If you're not happy with the expensive steelbook artwork, don't rant about it and don't buy / pre-order it..

Not to get too cheesy here but I think we should aspire to better in all walks of life. Look at the Sixth Sense artwork. This forum criticised it so much that it was changed to a widely perceived better version.

I don't like moaning but constructive criticism can be excellent if it improves things.

Bear in mind that the back of UK blu-ray sleeves often include the runtime from the DVD (which includes PAL speed up) when the actual disc is long due to lack of speed up.

Haven't noticed that, but in this case (The Shining) the numbers quoted are actual Blu-ray on-disc feature running times.

But anyway, it would've been much preferable to have both of these catalog titles in one steelbook release. Well, we will probably get Gremlins 2 soon, at the rate Zavvi is churning them out :)
