If this is the artwork for the Zavvi exclusive, then I would also expect a general trade-wide release featuring the proper theatrical poster artwork! This is almost as bad as what they did with the Iron Man 3 SteelBook!

If titles like 300: Rise Of An Empire and Transformers: Age Of Extinction are getting two SteelBook releases in the UK, then I don't see why one of the biggest film titles of the year (if not THE biggest film of the year) shouldn't also have two different SteelBook releases! There should be another release featuring maybe just the 2D disc as well as "traditional" artwork

Decided to cancel just incase they get worried and send The Punisher early, not sure if I would be able to cancel Guardians if Punisher was sent.

Doesn't even look like the actual tape or walkman. Getting the NA version for sure, that's if they don't uses this too haha
Unfortunately, think this is a Worldwide release (other than titles being included on the front of the Futureshop version...)
This is quite honestly the most bizarre choice for artwork for a steelbook I can remember...

I love the artwork and hopefully taiwan go back to having cast pics on the slip like they did with original captain america. This steel with an epic embossed textured slip with guardians pics would be so awesome.

On a side note, shame this isnt a futurepak like godzilla US and contained audio, now that would be fitting.

C'mon, it's not that bad. I personally thought the ES 300 Steelbook was worse. At least this one stands out from the crowd with not a single Chris Pratt pulling a mean face image in sight. I'd say this is a pretty inspired Steelbook and the designer clearly put effort into it, instead of sticking the poster artwork on the front. I'm keeping my pre-order

See this is what I don't understand

How can ES be able to do another Steelbook for the UK with these two titles yet for Guardians of the Galaxy it's a big no no.

I always find that despite what the film is like quality wise ES always has some amazing artwork, now people say it's up to the studios with what artwork steelbooks have but ES seems to have a good track record so far, except for that god awful "3D" on the 300 one. Do ES send artwork to get approved by the studios or do they do it for them? Because I can't understand how ES gets better artwork then most of the Zavvi exclusives.

Surely they could of asked if they could do a Guardians of the Galaxy Steelbook, it's a much better film then 300 and Transformers.

Does anyone know how this whole process works?

Check the Thor 2/Captain America 2/Avengers steelbooks- Europe gets title-less releases, Best Buy and Futureshop typically have the same designs but with the titles on the front and spine...

Yes I know (I have them all) but they have the main character on at least! This has none of the guardians, just his bloody tape in a terrible looking Walkman. Yes it's a part of the film, but I don't believe for a second that ANYONE would have asked for the steel to look like a tape if there had been a survey before hand...
