From IMDB:
From Marvel, the studio that brought you the global blockbuster franchises of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and The Avengers, comes a new team–the Guardians of the Galaxy. An action-packed, epic space adventure, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits–Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Peter discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand - with the galaxy’s fate in the balance.
With: Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper as the voice of Rocket, Vin Diesel as the voice of Groot, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gilian, Djimon Hounsou with John C. Reilly, Glenn Close as Commander Rael and Benicio del Toro as The Collector.

Critics gave it a 94% on Rotten Tomatoes which is ridiculously high, not that critics likings a movie doesn't ensure anything. But with the kind of movie this is I would be shocked if it was at the least very good. There is a lot of really good buzz besides that for this flick. I have a feeling this one is going to surprise a lot of people and will be a big box office hit and suck in more of the kids.

Those of you seeing Guardians in a few days or so, how old are you guys? I ask because I'm starting to think I might be getting too old to be seeing these Marvel movies lol. I'm 27 and plan on seeing it opening night. I love the whole Marvel universe and especially what they're doing in the movies. I will always be a fan but is there a point that will come where I should probably hang it up per say? Just curious..
PFFT! I'm 26 years old and I'm going to see it on Friday. You are never really told for a movie, unless you are like a 45 year old male going to see a Barbie movie or something:sour:.I will go see all the Mavel and Dc movies and never feel like a kid or out of place. These movies were made for people like me and i won't be robbed of it because society things i should be seeing something else..If Anything i look at the kids thinking" What are you doing here?" .

HA! I like that. I just finished watching it and i was blown away by how awesome it was! It's such a good movie, there were all types of age groups at the theater and everyone loved it. I guess I wasn't sure what to expect because I'm not so familiar with Guardians, but it was fantastic. I will be watching these movies in the theater until I'm old and gray!

Really really great movie. Definitely the funniest movie Marvel has made to date. Groot is surprisingly touching character, but has some of the funniest moments, including just before the credits. Rocket is the funniest for me. Ronan and Nebula are pretty good villains.
