So any idea on what the story is on this koreanmuse? How is that possible?
I'm just guessing but the ebay seller likely gets them from the distributor at dealer price or discounted price from Nova for doing a bulk order

Ebay seller would still be selling at a profit

Not all ebay sellers bump the price especially local sellers in Korea

What I don't get is why people pry everytime is goes sold out then comes back into stock. What difference does that make. It's like they want this not to sell out and send Nova a message. If these new marvel exclusives sell poorly then they might think twice and not bother doing new Exclusive releases and that's not a good thing. Look what happened with the nova choice line.
You have a group of people that don't want to sell out to send a message it's too expensive and teach a lesson, you have a group that wants to sell out so they can sell it for higher prices and you have a group that are collectors and want to collect cool stuff!

Nova's hands are tied when it comes to Disney/Marvel, they don't charge more for ***** and giggles. They've put out superior exclusive titles for less such as Terminator 2.

I'm a Novamedia lenti collector, whatever the title is i'll buy it just to keep up with my collection. Doesn't matter if there is 500 or 50,000 in the run. It also doesn't matter to me if the title sells out or not, as long as I have my copy on my shelf i'm happy. People saying they're glad they didn't order because it hasn't sold out is ridiculous

I agree, it doesn't make any less of a good set. The fact that it is the second Nova GOTG release means most people might not want it and prefer the artwork of the first run.
This will still sell out eventually. Plus with other marvel and DC titles happening and coming up why choose ANOTHER GOTG set and spend more money on ones they already have
over those they don't yet have? I really like the Starlord design in this set, and I've gone for the whole set as a big fan of this movie and the MCU in general. I think these 3 next to the first run will
look phenomenal. Once again it all comes down to taste and collectability. Do I like the Alien films? Yes. Am I collecting them anymore? No. Why is that? Because my focus is on the MCU.
I see the longevity of these films, we are talking years ahead, so I want to complete this run of steelbooks and collect the fantastic (imo) artwork and finishes along the way.

Right now I have this set, Cap Kimchi set, Strange Blufans set and Strange Kimchi lenti from this month. Expensive month? Yes. But then I save on not buying other films.

I also don't collect for print run, I collect for a) Because I like the film/series of films and b) I like the artwork/set designs.

same here  I collect for movies I love and for beautifully Crafted Packages

LOving This Steelbook :oohyeah: It has 2 of my Favorite Artworks for the movie and Fullslip B will go nicely with my Cherished Blufans Editions of this movie.

I am very selective in the Marvel Titles I collect.
I'm not Crazy too much about the ''Character Crossover'' from movie to movie that makes them all feel like another Avengers Movie(those I don't mind not Collecting).

I like their Titles that feel really Original.
''GOTG Vol.1'' is way up there with ''CA: The First Avenger'' and ''Doctor Strange'' exciting releases for those Titles this month :oohyeah:

I'm not sure I understand how a few going back into stock is "going to teach them a lesson".
So...some more come back into stock. And they will soon be out of stock again. There were 4,000 printed. Not 200. And seeing as how this will definitely eventually be sold out for good...NovaMedia sold the amount they made. So...the only lesson they learned is, keep making them, and people will buy them.
Personally, I love it, because I do not own a premium release of this movie, and would rather not spend $100 to get one. I imagine that is the feeling of many other people buying this release. Maybe the scalpers and resellers lose money on this because there are many in the marketplace now...but, that's hardly going to affect sales for NovaMedia.

My thoughts exactly! Ive said this in other threads but I'm fairly new to the steelbook collecting scene and missed all the other chances to get a premium release of this awesome movie so I am ecstatic to have the chance to grab a copy of that lovely lenti!!

Welcome to the hobby! Folks jump into collecting at all different times, and everyone has different priorities when choosing editions. I hope you enjoy our community! :ninja:

Smaller print run especially at this day and age is required to keep the fun in collecting and the feel good factor of owning something that is really in demand. Remember we are spending £2k-£3 per year to grab these and many long term collectors want at least half of them to hold its value. A premium collectible release is not really premium if it is not in demand and not holding its value. Most of us in this super expensive addictive hobby are driven by passion and sometimes we forget how much we are spending and how much we compromise other nice aspects of life to cling on to this hobby.

It will never be fun if you miss out and have to buy it at more than RRP. I personally don't care about exclusivity, I just want the best edition for my collection. I couldn't care less if this had a print run of 10,000 and never sold out, at least I'd have the option to buy it if I wanted it and not have the stress of thinking I'd never own it.
I don't care if it doesn't hold it's value, it's for my collection. If anything, I'd be happy that others owned the same edition and got the same enjoyment I did in owning it. If you're collecting something just so you have it and someone else doesn't, then that's pretty f-ed up.

Yeah, but it still feels good if it does ;)
