Did they send it in a white box or was it a sh1te A1 mailer?
It's a pain but would recommend purchasing a new one whilst you organise a return with refund. Prevents item going OOS whilst getting replacement.
It was sent in a small white box but it was not enough protection since it got smushed and was enough to damage the items. I just bought cars 1 & 2 and those came perfect with the same box, but those were also not crushed. The problem is if that white box takes any kind of force during transit theres not enough space between the cardboard and the item to really protect it.. Its all dandy when the item isnt manhandled, but im not sure if the mailman tried to shove it in my mailbox or what.
The reason I want things to be signed for and for them to use a box that cant be put inside a mailbox. I cant say if thats when the box got crushed or during the actual transit.. But someone along the way smushed the box and note to that person I hope you get coal in your stocking since you suck at your job!
I put the case in with Zavvi and waiting for their reply. I didnt see that its sold out and figure they should still be able to replace it.
I would buy it again right now and continue with the refund, but that process will tie up extra cash for me and I been spending like crazy and cant even tie that extra cash up at the moment.
Shouldn't they have replacements for damaged items? These companies suck at shipping and don’t understand collectors. They dont deserve to be owners of a collectible company.

I would have chose that, but I thought it was going to sell out fast so I went through the default options as fast as I could to just get the order in and figured it would be packed better. Even there standard shipping should have a better disigned shipper box with more protection.
Also, I am in the states and they still charged me for shipping. I just bought Cars 1 & 2 as well as The Muppets which they charged the shipping for those too.
Quite simply put, if you want a bigger box it would just cost more money for the company to send. I’ve never received any external damaged packages from Zavvi. A larger letter mailer box is sufficient to send standard steelbooks in. Not saying you aren’t going to get damaged ones from time to time, but it’s the cost involved for Zavvi for the hundreds of steelbooks they send to factor in.

They should offer a larger box and I would pay it.. I already paid for shipping and shipping cost is never a factor for me... I care more about well packed shipping versus saving a few bucks for the cheapeast shipping is being cheap and I rather pay more for better protection.
Also, the amount that I did pay for shipping could afford to use a bigger box.. Boxes and bubble wrap are super cheap when you are buying huge bulk of it! Big business’s also get discounts from shippers to ship and they charged me enough for shipping to use better protection.
I paid high shipping and they can easily use a better box so not even one gets damaged. I have proof of better shipping methods and the crappy box they send it in is not good enough!
They didnt offer me free shipping to the states and I still paid for shipping so it should have been packed better! I paid shipping! Its not free everywhere!

I never had to pay shipping for any steelbook unless it was under £10 if I can recall, no problem I just combine the orders so I can get free shipping.
I disagree that Zavvis packaging is not good enough. For what they sell, standard steelbooks ranging from as low as £5, a large mailer box is sufficient and to give free shipping and keep costs down for customers. Many other retailers adopt the same style packaging. So if you are complaining about Zavvi, you might as well complain to HMV and everyone else.
I would prefer free shipping than paying extra for a bigger box.
And if it gets damaged? Just ask for an exchange or a refund. What you got to lose?
You want to pay more for postage costs, I would rather not. I’m glad Zavvi have opted for sufficient packaging and free shipping
is it your first time buying from zavvi? if that; you are in a ride because you will be disappointed all the time, you dont know what is their bad package yet(looking at you card envelopes).........

The force was strong for me as I restrained buying both this and the Thor Ragnarok Lenti's. Figured I'm more than happy with my Blufans One Click of both. Especially Thor 3, another level kind of release that one. Love everything about it.
(True story, I actually pre-ordered GOTG then quickly realised it was an in-stock now item so immediately cancelled and luckily with success. Another minute or two, they'd of had me locked in and payment pending lol).
