Response from ES about the finish they are going for on this release:

There’s an emboss on the title treatment, gloss varnish on the front, cutting out the characters and a dull varnish covering the back.

The red text and red image on the back is also a pantone red, which should be a bright pillar box red.

I've been panicking all day so I decided to edit my card details and enter the 3 digit security code and press save. All my orders then said verify so I clicked verify and then it said thanks for ordering. So I guess my hansel & gretel copy is safe (as well as my 2 x GI Joes).

That's what happened to me when changing the delivery address and then verify payment...When I checked back the day after, I had to again verify all...Spooky

Looks like the story is starting to unfold...Anyone who placed an order on 3rd May the verification stage failed and instead of asking for verification again PLAY have cancelled all the orders saying they have been declined (even though they actually never made it to authorisation with the bank). They then released all these orders at 6am on Saturday 11th May for re-purchase. Well done to anyone who picked up my two copies on that day
I have spoken to both PLAY and ES and although very polite they have basically said 'our mistake sorry but tough luck your order has gone forever

I don't know ALL will be cancelled but if you look on another forum you will see quite a few other people who ordered on 3rd have had the same problem already. I placed two orders on the 3rd for 1 copy using my stored card details that I have used all the time on play with no problems. the first order never asked for verification as per normal when I order but the second asked for my cv2 number ( which I input correctly). yet both were cancelled saying there cv2 number was missing due to a system error.

So as ES seem to release European versions as English releases where is the European version of this on sale?

Scanavo would not make a run of less than 4,000 copies so these must be a part of someones bigger order, I missed out and do not mind buying the Euro version as I did with Jack Reacher as I only open them and toss the J-Card away so no fuss to me

sounds like some of the wrongly declined orders went back up for sale on the 3rd then those were wrongly declined and went back up for sale on the 11th... God knows what will happen with the 11th orders.... my head is spinning on this one

Exactly the same happened to me on the 25th, but the orders still remain as of now. Seems to be the same system error on both days though (25th and the 3rd), so it seems odd that the orders were cancelled from one day and (so far ) not from the other?
