wow.

statement : I'm a grown man. so I do not listen to kid music, do not read kid books nor do not buy kid movies. how ever uber cool steelbooks they have.

there it is.

bring on the hate, coffeedrinking and eyerolling.
What?

I can only echo what @Flloydo said to you earlier... I can never tell if you're trying to be funny or not. It seems pretty obvious that you're having a dig at me though, for whatever reason. Maybe you need to take a break from the site again? And that's not a threat... it's a suggestion.

But to expand on my previous comment, since you seem so interested... I do like the Harry Potter films, but I'm not crazy on them like a lot of people seem to be. So my point is that I don't feel like forking out £160 on steelbooks when I already own the films.

And for the record... I love Disney films (old and new) and buy what some would consider as "toys", which you'd already know if you took any notice of some of my other posts. ;)

I own the limited numbered boxset from a few years back but have always wanted steelbooks of these movies. I hope the artwork doesn't change, I like it as is at the moment, its simple, tasteful & not overly busy.

agree.

will hang on a little while more this evening, tonight ... after that visit briefly just to check out new PA/FAC information and possible GBs.

URGH...WTF IS THAT

This the UK Collection...god damn it

First James Bond, Star Trek and now these

Why is it all the good films or cult classics/franchises get horrible Steelbooks but crap films get some decent ones.

I have a gut feeling the French Artwork is what will be used for the UK steelbooks

MONDAY 20TH JUNE 2016
As 16 shiny new covers for the DVDs and Blu-rays are revealed, Pottermore spoke to the creative team behind the magic.

This was just announced earlier today DVD and Blu-ray releases slipcovers with new Artwork
Blu-ray is using the Iconic’ artwork and will grace the new Blu-ray covers

No hate at all from me flower you know that .

I started readinb the books late to the party Prisoner of Azkaban was a fiver at Kwick Save supermarket in the U.K Please bear in mind that they went into administration and disappeared from the U.K about 8 years ago .

Now I have read each of them cover to cover more than once . As you get engrossed into the story as each book progresses it gets darker .

FAR darker than any of the movies go .

The Deathly Hallows Battle For Hogwarts was I was bereft as to what was left out in the movie . It lost a lot a HELL OF A LOT from the book .

Nef Deathly Hallows one copy upstairs and one down cover to cover in 39 hrs . Started on a Sataurday morning at 11 am ish Finished it in floods of tears at 02.40 hrs the following Monday morning .

Yhea a kids book to begin with that I can not dispute . By the end J.K Rowling up thire with the finest writters this planet has ever witnessed .

As for the steelbook as I put the Battle For Hogwarts well makes this such an easy pass :) .

It is more it's beyond the copys sold Nef . Until you step into that world it is so hard to explane how you turn from an unreading adult to a book worm .

Up untill having the kids I read a LOT . Then time not enough of it to read. Everything went on the back burner untill I finished the story . The story is not about Harry SO Much more to it all than him .

Philosophers Stone and Chamber Of Secrets are the kid books . Prisoner Of Askaban it grows up .

The things in thire I know you will identify and affiliate with .

To me Rowling already desrves more credit than any award can bring .

A for getting people to read

B for casting the right actress for Hermione nineteen years on . Taking flack for chageing the Actress playing her changeing the colour of her skin Rowling quite rightly said Hermione's only identifing feature was unruly bushy hair .

Now IF only more had the guts to stand and say that maybe we would get a more upto date casting , put the best person for the roll into it regardless of colour gender .

Maybe the fact the hype has you the same as I am with Star Wars .

What I do know is IF I do jump the Iconic covers will be the ones I will cave in on . Those sum up the relm of Harry Potter to perfection :) .

@Scary Hair

I get your love for Potter, but there is so so much more out there. Like Freud, Jung, Crowley and books like Malleus Maleficarum. I have read those, own those. they are the real thing about human nature, dreams, real witches etc.

here is a pic. just showing couple of my books.

sorry for OT. but I am really into this stuff, like Austin Osman Spare, Crowley etc.

Both French and uk steelbooks look awful at the moment

Should of stuck with poster art or even the DVD/ blu Ray art would of done me.

A huge shame and downer on the art.

Seriously the U.K. Current mock ups are just boring and the French mock ups look so god damn tacky and fake.

I've been waiting years for these to happen and they sh*t on us like that!!!!

My only hope is that there are 4000 or more in each country so I can pick them up for £5 each later in the year.

I still want them on blu ray and steel (have the first 6 on DVD and last 2 on ammray) but I won't ever pay more than £6 for either of those arts which ever they decide to go with

(Shame on anyone who likes the U.K. Mockups or French mockups :cigar:)

Think France had the best of any out thire . I will HAVE to sit on my hands not to order .

You and me both Ann, I really wanted to make up the set as I only have up to,
The order of the phoenix (US steelbooks) but these don't match

...can't buy...must not buy...please tell me not to buy...

If that sorting hat artwork above was steelbook would be nice but these are ugly :(

But I do love these films, and can't wait for the upcoming Fantastic Beasts and where to find them, it's got to have a steelbook
