I apologise for the mental turmoil my post subjected you too, I agree it is a great film though. Sorry to hear the steel was damaged, that's why I think I'll hold off on buying one from across seas to minimise damage even though I'm grateful for Mrnoyt posting the listings.
That's the annoying thing, I bought direct from Kimchi however long ago and only just opened it. At least it has the nice slip to cover it. Hope you find one for a reasonable price mate.

So what's the general consensus on which version is better? I'm looking to pick one up, but I'm not sure which version I prefer.

My collection is a mix of full slips and lentis so that doesn't help me narrow down at all...

All depends on what you think looks better, in my opinion the lenti looks amazing, it wins it for me

The lenti is nice and a bit different to the norm. The full slip does look fantastic too though with the binary code dotted effect and gatefold. They are both good!:)

If I had to base which one I was going to buy based on pictures, as I don't own either version, I would choose the full slip. The lenti looks like the transition bleeds.

I'd look up the video of the transition. It actually looks very impressive. I share your mindset, though. When this was first announced I was drawn to the lenti. Now as I've seen pictures that full slip really sticks out. I really like that dotted effect and the character images.

I think the idea of the lenti is more relevant to the movie itself, but I wish it had the gatefold instead of the full slip. Would make more sense that way. Decisions, decisions...

Why not get one for now and acquire the other one in a month or two?? That's what I may have to do.

I prefer the fullslip, the binary code design as discussed some pages back - I thought it was a clever idea. :)

The full slip was an interesting idea...however it loses because it is an image of an actress who does not appear in the movie!!
That is like putting Douglas Rain on the steelbook of 2001!

The Lenti is superior- and very nice!!

Just sold my full slip. I really had to have the full slip in the beginning but then I lost interest real quick and wanted the lenti but now I just don't care. I'm done with this film.

Personally think the lenti is a really great design idea and way it works, looks actually one of the best lenti ive seen
just so simple and works brilliantly and in tune exactly with the film, which on a side note is incredibly.
On a not so good note this was one of those i hadn't opened left sealed , opened it couple months ago and .......totally gutted where the two sides of the steel meet to close, on the bottom edge and inside bottom edges
slightly exaggerating here but theres more paint off than on
.paint chips all along bottom edge and up the bottom inside edges
This is one of my favorite steels love it and to make it worse its hard to get hold of a replacement they dont come on the market much and there always top wack

I had both and although I did love the full slip the lenticular won out and I parted with the full slip long ago. I agree this is one of the coolest lentils and it really speaks to the spirit of the movie.

Did a 1/4 slipcover edition of this get released? There are a few on eBay sold auctions but can't find anything on it?

After a copy of this, so trying to source what versions are out there.

I've found this site selling quarter slips but I don't know if it's legit or not.

Im not sure if this is true of all kimchidvd steelbooks; but some get released by other retailers to the domestic Korean market without the kimchidvd packaging.

I did notice that site but it doesn't have it instock when you add it to your basket. Loved this film and it is a good steelbook.
