My Hercules and Pinocchio steels arrived today A1 and I have to admit the Disney steelbooks are building into an impressive collection. I really do hope they go to town on Snow White when they get around to doing it as a steelbook. It deserves special treatment.

I don't think Zavvi has anything to do with how great or bad (in terms of quality and design) these steelbooks are.

So true.

They still get a lot of flack for things that have nothing to do with them, as well as praise. Zavvi's design is amazing/awful etc. etc. I doubt they have any say at all. Possibly on the exclusives (but I doubt it), but certainly not on worldwide releases where they're just the UK exclusive retailer. It's strange, but you hardly ever get anyone saying 'Best Buy's design is amazing' or 'Amazon's matte-finish is awful'. I think HMV has some say on certain titles, but even then it's probably few and far between.

The diabolical packaging on the other hand, totally down to Zavvi...

I think as customers we can at times blame the retailer (any retailer) for things they have no control over. Simply because they are the one we deal with so they get either or ire or praise.

Mine just arrived. Love it. Can't wait to watch this again and hear DeVitos and Woods voice

So did mine!!!

Mine turned up about 15 minutes ago...i swear to god Zavvi have NO IDEA what goes through our minds..i mean SERIOUS steelbook collectors minds when that crappy A1 mailer drops on the doormat!!:ohno::ohno:

Luckily mine was unscathed:oohyeah:....although it does nothing for the heartrate while opening the damn thing!!!! Again a crappy piece of toilet tissue, 3:10 To Yuma had bubble wrap, they are not even being consistent!!!:angry:

Tacozilla i really feel for you man:(...you will doubtless be offered the miserly "10% refund"....and told "sorry, NO more available for replacement" while Zavvi then put them up on Zavvioutlet at Amazon or Ebay!!!!! F******!!!!!

Can NOBODY at HDN talk to Zavvi about this crap packaging they are persisting with...again the Disney, Pixar, Indy, Captain America and ultra limited print runs deserve decent protection at minimum, it is totally unfair on us as consumers spending our hard earned money on premium products at Zavvi to then be left guessing if they will turn up undamaged!!

Zavvi really really don't care...all this "we will pass on your concerns to our packaging/warehouse teams" bollo*ks is exactly what it is...BOLLO*KS!! They don't give a flying f***!...so long as the money keeps rolling in!!!:angry:

They really are one of the worst companies out there...but when they have exclusivity on Disney and other certain steelbooks we have NO choice apart from scalpers on Ebay charging what the hell they want!!!:angry:

So guys....i demanded and got a 50% refund from Scavvi on my "slightly" dented V For Vendetta, don't take their crap and hold it!!!, the customer is always right!!!!

Ghost1, don't accept it!!!! Ask for at least 50% refund...i did (see previous post!)...we need to hit Zavvi where it hurts...the more they have to refund their customers the lower their profit margins!!! Then it will hopefully make make them think again about this packaging fiasco!!!

Don't accept £20 outlay on a product you expect to be properly protected for you and then receive damaged!!! Don't let them get away with it!! Without us they are NOTHING!!!!!
