Just received mine. With Pinocchio it was sent int he new envelope, but with bubble wrap. Hercules was sent with the so thin it's hardly there foam.

Luckily both appear to have survived intact

I'm trying to complete a returns form to zavvi but when i press the send button a message comes up saying upload a pic but the trouble is it won't let me upload a pic, this really does suck :ass:

Sorry to hear that mate, what web browser are you using? Sometimes if I change browsers these glitches disappear.

You need to send the pic to [email protected] as the zavvi returns page is crap and won't accept any pics!!!

how can Zavvi not realise that this is always going to happen while this packaging is used!!!

when i had my V For Vendetta issue with them they rolled out that a survey?? (who took part in that!!!!) had been done and less than 1% of all steelbooks sent out are damaged!!

Does anybody here really believe that!!!

That could be the issue. I use IE as well as I find it's more compatible with my system, but if you download Google Chrome and use that to send the pics, it might solve the problem. I use both browsers due to similar issues.

My copy arrived this morning!
I love the vibrant colours and metallic sheen on it. These disney steels are getting better and better!

Unfortunately it had the smallest of paint chips, but at lease there was no dents or scratches so I'm just going to hang on to it.

Mine arrived Yesterday with a small spot dent on the right hand side/front.

Out of the last 7 in the rubbish mailers 2 have been damaged.

Rather think that's more than 1% damage rate (Just under 30% actually)

Frankly you're probably all better off using Firefox - it's way more usableand stable than either IE or Chrome - had some particulalry bad experiences with Chrome; major pain in the backside!

Recieved mine today. No dents but a spine slash.
Can't be bothered sending it back, just gonna keep it.
Of course my 2nd fave disney movie gets slashed but Planes survives all damage.

And thats why they only have 1% damage, if we all sent back the damaged one's we recieve they may start to think about that rubish packaging.

Agreed, but the 1% has to be pure fantasy anyway.

It doesn't mattter to them anyway - I'm sure they send back all returns to their suppliers for refund/replacement.

Sent my damaged one back today, hopefully when the replacement arrives in about a week or so it will be in good condition

Unfortunately for some people receiving a Steelbook in an envelope "Contains very mild language and horror" becomes "Contains very strong language, horror and disturbing images"

1. Wrap your parcel securely
- Always use a sturdy box or jiffy bag
- Use plenty of padding inside to protect the contents
- Seal the package with strong tape

Thats how zavvi want me to send my damaged steelbook back,
are they having a laugh or what

My Hercules steelbook is in perfect condition no paint chips or scratches

The majority of my steelbooks from zavvi have arrived in perfect condition
I have over 250 steelbooks 80% were from zavvi

Zavvi Steelbooks 3 had minor dents
The Beyond
V for Vendetta
Maniac Cop
I had only 4 steelbooks with minor paint chips and all of them were sent in the white boxes and were last year

The cardboard Mailers
All arrived in perfect condition except
V for Vendetta no foam sheet
Maniac Cop foam sheet
Both had minor dents

The bubble wrap been used now so far has been good no damage to any of my steelbooks


I have other Steelbooks that came from Amazon.uk with paint chips in fact compared to zavvi its amazon.uk that I had more problems with in regards to damage with one from Amazon.de destroyed

I only had one bad creased box set from Zavvi and that was not a steelbook it was Dr. Phibes Collection box set

mine arrived today, but with a spine slash through the plastic wrap. I got lucky on the last batch of Disney spine slashes, so I guess it's my turn to deal with the replacement negotiations.

As bad as their packaging seems, I have yet to have any issues with steels being damaged due to shipping. I've suffered from 2 spine slashes and 1 which just never arrived.
