Have you used the wishlist feature? Curious what other members might be looking for to add to their collection?

The HiDefNinja wishlist feature can be used by any HDN member to find potential trading partners, to determine what steelbooks might be useful to get extras of for trading later, or just plain fun to see what other people would like to add to their collection.

In addition, these wishes could be used later to pass on to decision makers at studios or at the steelbook folks themselves - we'll know which releases are the most popular and should be available in other locations. Do you want a copy of Warrior, but decided not get it because of the German movie info on the back? Add it to your wishlist! Maybe one day we'll see a USA release or UK release because of it. ;)

Finally, in a potential future enhancement, there might be a possibility to use the wishlist of any user to "match up" or to "find" potential trading partners through a new interface.

Here's a quick overview of how the wishlist in the all new collection manager works.

1) Add items to your wishlist in one of the following ways.

a. Through a find. Click the "pin" button to add the item to your wishlist.

b. Through the Ninja View. Zoom into any item and choose the pin button from here.

2) Maintian your wishlist through this view. Remove an item from your wishlist if you no longer want it. Move it to your collection if you just acquired it. Or you traded an item away, but still would like it at some point? Move it from your collection to your wishlist! No need to re-add it, just move it!

3) Compare someone else's collection to your wishlist.

4) View another person's wishlist without ever entering the Collection Manager. On anyone's postbit, click on their number of steelbooks. After loading this view, toggle the drop down to view their wishlist items!

In summary, we all hope you use the wishlist feature of the collection manager - the application is not only for the items you already have, but also for the items you WISHED you had! :)

I've been using this from the start because if you're like me with a dippy memory it serves as a great reminder on what to buy at some point in the future ;)

EXACTLY! the reason I started using it immediately. This manner is pretty much how I keep track of everything in my collection and wants or steels I have missed. I would trip out if anything were to happen to the database housing this info, lol.

A not so relevant question though... for apsmith perhaps, will there be a regular section to add amaray bluray titles at any point somewhere?

The database is backed up pretty regularly, so no worries on that. ;)

There's been some discussion about adding regular blus, but no plans as of this moment.

Things more likely to happen in the next few months - digibooks, video game steelbooks, and potentially others.

Sorry for bumping this old thread, but I couldn't find it anywhere else - how do I remove something from my Collection Manager? I can't seem to find a button for it...

Are there any plans to add Dvd Steelbooks? I have a few of them and some of them are among my favourites.

I've been searching everywhere

I can't locate the thread that lets you list titles that aren't in the collection manager and I have several that I would like added.

can someone PM me the link to that thread please, I'll never remember this post where it is it took me a while to even search for what I finally found.

All support threads for the CM and reporting requesting info is stickied on the Support/Announcement Forum ... (usually last board on the forum main page)

hope that helps.
