I placed an in-store pickup order for Nightmare Before Christmas at the Noho store in NYC and before I went to the counter I checked out the movie section just in case Hocus Pocus had been restocked and 3 copies were on the shelf!

I decided to get the Zavvi Hocus Pocus steelbook. I just can't get used to an eye looking at me all the time from the Best Buy steel. Plus, I have a strong aversion to snakes.

Hadn’t seen this film since I was a kid and it was playing on cable tv. Hated it then. Screened it on release day and I really enjoyed it. While watching, I thought to myself, “Isn’t that the ***** from Eyes Wide Shut?”...checked the credits and sure enough it was, same actress who nearly infected little Tommy Cruise with the HIV. She was incredible in Eyes Wide Shut (top 10 all time for me), Stanley sure could pick em’....Vinessa Shaw. Wow...godess. Anyway...hell of a release. Sure had people in a frenzy there for a minute. Seems like the bay is saturated with copies at low prices for now so no one should have trouble getting one. I’m thinking this will be kind of a grail later down the line. Have to keep a mint one for the Sealed Collection.
