Very nice!!! I love mine indeed. I also see you got the Battlefield 3 steel. I got one too. I am trying to figure out if the name on it is stickers or not. Can't quite tell. Anyway enjoy your LTBF it looks pretty!!!:oohyeah:

BTW is that certificate inside the steelbook. I imagine it is. That means I will never see it. :hilarious:

about Battlefield, I don't know if it's sticker or basically that's how it feels with printed artwork. I'm glad that the inside is printed artwork.

Yes, the certificate is inside the steelbook. Love the fact that it's dent-free...now i'm going to seal it up :)

It is with heavy heart that I post my most recent steelbook purchase:

This next part is not for the feint of heart. I feel ill. This was my most wanted steelbook out of any other steelbook. I actually overpaid just to get it right now.

There are six HUGE dents on the back cover of this thing. Not sure how it happened this way, but it looks like it got smashed in the middle extremely hard.:(

Ohhh Thunda, I am so sorry to see that. I hope you get your money back or a replacement. I cringe just looking at that.

The dude sent it media mail so I've been waiting for 9 days for this to get here and was as giddy as a little school girl as I opened it up. The front cover is surprisingly undamaged.

WTF? Who let this happen to Babydoll and her friends? Oh Thunda, man. I am so sorry. You must find some way to avenge this - get your money back or a replacement - nothing less.:angry:

Someone's gotta pay for this :shoot:

I don't mean to thread jack but this is important.

The back cover has that paper slip with the movie info on that paper. The raised bumps are lined up like this:

x x

x x

x x

on the back cover. Do any of you have this on the back of any of your steels? Could this be that rubbery material to stick that paper slip to the back of the steel? Looking at the back cover I just can't figure out how a steel would get dented in that way. Anybody have something similar on your 1st edition German Sucker Punch or any other steelbook that is still sealed?

Please tell me you do!

Thunda, the bumps on outward facing? Oh yes I just re-read the comments and AcId mentioned they looked like they were gouged from the inside. They could be that nasty snake glue. Let me check my copies for you.

Great news Thunda! Both my copies have these same bumps you described but much subtler. I can feel them in the configuration you laid out so I am sure these bumps are the glue "dots" they put on to retain the cardboard cover during shrink wrapping. Caution though, I wouldn't "rub" them at all to flatten them as they could go the other way and dent the steel cover EEK!

There you go!

So sorry for you my friend, nothing breaks my heart more than damaged steels. I've received one in my first order from FS so I know what you're feeling at the moment :(

Futureshop Haul

Waiting for another 4 packages from Amazon UK / FR / DE / JP
Another 20+ steelies on the way :)
Really nice haul you got there. I especially like that Full Metal Jacket. I've been wanting one lately but the Japanese 21st haul has all my funds at the moment.
Damn, I was almost out. Almost cut the habit.... Then they pull me back in :(

Almost sounds like that line out of The Godfather III where he's standing in the kitchen and says that and then has a heart attack. Excellent movie by the way.
