With all the releases out there every month, how much do you spend???

Of course, this is for YOUR OWN COLLECTION and not counting for trading/selling or else ;)

Reference table:
100$ = 60£ = -75€
100-250$ = 60-150£ = 75-190€
250-500$ = 150-300£ = 190-380€
500-1000$ = 300-620£ = 380-760€
1000$ = 620£ = 760€

I put my vote in the £60-150 bracket but it all depends. Some months it's a lot more depending on what releases are coming out.

Depending what is released and what I Like. IF I have not seen it at the cinema like Prometheus and Dark Shadows the money I saved goes towards the steelie. For the 3 quid I went Resident Evil 6 steelbook and do not regret it ,as I Needed that anyway :D.

Those I want and love Zulu, Con Air ,Armageddon ,Shaun of the dead Hot fuzz re issue depending on price.Seven and 300 too expensive for the amount of time the blu ray has been out and I already have them anyway.

Coming up I only want Black Hawk down and Dark Knight Rises.

So averaging it out per month over the year about £20 to £30 each month depending what is out.

I have a feeling that now retailers are catching on to the fact that we are buying them the realises will be on the increase . Bad for our bank balances me thinks .

I'm pretty new to collecting so spent a fair amount more than intended last month but I figure if I set a budget and try to keep to it now... ;)

It obviously fluctuates depending on what is being released in each month. Just looking at UK releases, I spent £83.95 in August, £134.71 in September and £164.69 so far this month (every UK release apart from Snow White) plus another £47.98 for releases up to the end of the month. Then you've got group buys and international orders (which I have pretty much stopped now that every film will eventually get Play.com exclusive). When I bought the majority of my collection earlier this year, I was spending upwards of £400 in some months. It helps if you can buy a copy or two extra of the rarer ones though as that softens the blow on the bank balance if you sell them on for a profit.

I'd probably cry if I really worked it out! Obviously varies month to month, but I'd say around £40-50 a month on average + a further £250-300 on behalf of other Ninjas :)

I need to ask my Legal Advisors before i disclose any information on how much i spend on steelbooks per month or year for fear of my wife looking at this thread EEK!
