Plain Archive is excited to announce the release of I Saw The Devil Steelbook. We've been asked by Blue Kino, another Korean Blu-ray company to design the Steelbook edition which will be PLAIN ARCHIVE's exclusive.
We were hoping to release the world's first Steelbook edition of I Saw The Devil, but Zavvi announced its own before we could. The news made us reconsider the project, but with director Kim Jee-woon's support, we couldn't drop it.
I Saw The Devil Steelbook will be released under the approval of director Kim, and we are working on the artwork as we speak.
Best Regards
PLAIN ARCHIVE

which is the cut to see? theatrical or international?
I'd been meaning to ask the same thing. This is a total blind buy for me, so am curious as to if there are any recommendations as to which should be watched first.

Edit: I found a comparison of the two cuts here (Warning: NSFW), however be aware that due to it being a comparison between the versions it obviously contains spoilers.
FYI the "Theatrical" disk is the Korean cut. Apparently the international release is the Director's favoured one.

My tracking info for my Pet Slip was shipped on 31st of Oct and left Korea on 1st of Nov on a flight to Germany
Tracking has not updated since 1st of Nov
So it was not scanned so far after this
Its bit strange its not arrived in Ireland yet as it now 8th of Nov

If tracking don't show this has arrived in Ireland by Monday 10th then something is up
I hope its not stuck in customs or it got misplaced after it was scanned onto the flight out of Korea

Usually for me with Kpacket it only takes 6 days max to arrive in Ireland and delivered in 7 days

Mine said exactly the same thing (apart from going to Germany) and arrived this morning. I'd assume you'll get it soon as I'm normally one of the last to receive anything.

It did not say Germany in the tracking but the Flight No in the tracking was a flight from Korea to Germany I checked the details of the flight number

Hopefully it will arrive on Monday 10th
It has happened before but so far only once with my X-Men days of future past from kimchidvd that tracking was never updated after it left Korea but arrived ok with An Post who use there own tracking numbers but usually when you enter the Korean tracking number with An Post and you get the Ireland An post tracking number that did not happen and got a surprise delivery when that arrived

X-Men days of future past that tracking is still showing its left Korea and never updated to show it arrived in Ireland and was delivered first time ever that happened even though An post tracking number shows it was delivered

There is no "best" cut. Both cuts are brutal, both cuts are equally visceral, beautifully shot, well acted and explosive. There are minor differences from one cut to the other, that make the Korean cut a little more speedy, where the International cut lingers a little more. Both versions are great in their own right, and deserve a watch. At the price you paid for this release, and the amount of work they put in to give us such an awesome package....it really wouldn't hurt you to watch both, and make your own decision.

I opened my PET FullSlip and there are many paint-chips and some scratches on the steel. I contacted Plain and I hope they can do something. :(

I had the same thing on my 1/4th slip but I notified them and they are sending me a replacement empty and unsealed steelbook. I'm pleased how quickly they responded but sending me an unsealed copy highly increases the risk for another scratched copy doesn't it?

I would be happy if they would do the same in my case. I think the bubblewrap will protect the steel, if it isn't scratched/damaged before sending.

I don't know if I should also question them about why the booklet in the 1/4th slip I got is shorter than the other versions despite their website listing it as the same number of pages as the other full slips.
