Plain Archive is excited to announce the release of I Saw The Devil Steelbook. We've been asked by Blue Kino, another Korean Blu-ray company to design the Steelbook edition which will be PLAIN ARCHIVE's exclusive.
We were hoping to release the world's first Steelbook edition of I Saw The Devil, but Zavvi announced its own before we could. The news made us reconsider the project, but with director Kim Jee-woon's support, we couldn't drop it.
I Saw The Devil Steelbook will be released under the approval of director Kim, and we are working on the artwork as we speak.
Best Regards
PLAIN ARCHIVE

The Wrestler is a bloody awful film..

e.g. Anyone who thinks $34.99 for a single movie in steelbook is reasonable seriously needs help :)

...Plus postage, plus customs charges - the joke's on you true believers I'm afraid!

*the Wrestler is a great film, your trippin. Look at the critical acclaim The Wtestler received. The whole world except for u has bad taste in movies, right? You must not be a Mickey Rourke fan, either? Let me guess, your not familiar with his work, except for IM2. Thought so.

*Look,Um...Guy..you can go to McDonalds and buy a hamburger for $1. Im sure you are just happy with ur $1 burger.

*Or you can go to a Fine Restaurant and buy a hamburger for $20. I perfer the $20 hamburger. It's two different things.

We buy PA & Kimchi exclusive steels for the quality, not the cheap price.

Both cuts makes this the definitive I Saw the Devil release. The fact that it's from PA and region free makes it the ULTIMATE release!

I couldn't agree more! There's also the fact that P.A were considering dropping the project after Zavvi announced their steelbook, but the director convinced them to push on. If a release has the director's full support and approval, and has them actively have a hand in making a company reconsider any reservations they may have had on releasing an edition of the film, then that is a good sign that it's probably going to be THE edition of the film to get. Add to that the packaging and design are being handled by a company of P.A's reputation, and you have probably not just the best release in terms of content, but probably in visual design too.

To sum this up, this is one of my most anticipated releases of the year, and the fact that P.A are taking the time to put such care and attention into the designing of it means that I am more than happy to be patient and wait. It's the mark of a good company that their audience is happy to trust it and wait for it's product, keep it up Plain Archive!
