I disagree. I went into the movie not expecting the best story and expecting the effects to be amazing with some good action scenes and that is exactly what I got. So I was not disappointed at all with the movie.

You just have to have realistic expectations for what type of movie you are seeing.

Well I was expecting something like 300 which was ok. This one was real bad! And it remind me how much I can't stand Mickey Rourke

But hey, don't take my opinion too seriously, I'm very hard to please. Hated so many movies that most people liked. For example: hated both the Batmans, and Thor as well

as long as you don't have incredible expectations i don't think you'll be disappointed

The movie 300 was loosly based on the Battle of Thermopylae so it had a solid storyline to follow and is a part of history. Historical based movies always rock, well all the ones I've seen have. The movie Immortals has no bases to start from and is a completely fictitious movie so maybe that's why it doesn't carry as much weight.

The movie 300 was LOOSELY based on the Battle of Thermopylae so it had a solid storyline

WOW. The only thing believable in 300 was the storyline. I disagree with the sentiment about historically based as it pertains to 300. Immortals is more of the same. Different story.
