Can`t see them removing the phrase from the producers of 300
300 was such a great film and Immortals was just ok ish
Its good advertising it might get more fans of 300 to buy it.

Karl, eventhough I am ordering 'Immortals', as I generally liked the film, its effects and story, and am a huge fan of Tarsem Singh's visionary style,I agree with you. The '300' line is used to prop up 'Immortals'. I just really wish it was on a cardboard overlay-for the primary purpose of showing that info, but not for leaving it on the actual, permanent art. Either way, my order will stand, but that is just my preference :scat:

My personal preference is that they don't put the "From the producers of 300" under the title. If they're looking to generate more blu-ray sales then sure, put it on the Amaray copy to entice the 300 fans, but for more steelbook sales surely a cleaner look is the way to entice the steelbook fans. Immortals fans would be making the purchase either way.

I both liked and hated this movie. Like, because the action & fight scenes were done amazingly. Hated because it seems that all of the greek mythology directors (recently), seem to want the audience to forget that Theseus (and Perseus) were more than human. I also think they down played the Titans. They were generic, while the Gods were at least unique looking. Yes, they beat the Titans, but remember, titans were also Kronos, which is Zeus's father.

So this is the only one that has both 2D/3D and pretty cheap on amazon.co.uk for only £14.99 plus it's the first UK 3D steel! no brainer :D

March is gonna be an expensive month with all those japanese steels also :ohno:

Only downside is that this might well be the CUT version of the film. The video certificate is TBC, but anything less than an '18' rating and it'll be missing 18s of footage, as was the cinema release. The French edition on the other hand is likely to be uncut.

Amazon UK are advertising the film with a 15 certificate on the cover, which would almost certainly mean it's the cut version. There's nothing from the BBFC (British Board of Film Classification) yet though, so Amazon could just be acting on advance info from the distributor. As soon as I see something definite I'll post it here.

I seen both the uncut and the theatrical version.... And the uncut version is far superior.... To put it simply just think of the uncut version of Predator with Arnie, those extra few seconds of extra gore makes the film so much better!

So an update on classification:

According to new info on the bbfc website, the film has been passed with a '15' rating for video with "no cuts made".

BUT it's very possible that the distributor submitted the already-cut cinema print for video certification. So no more cuts would need to be made, as it was already chopped down to a '15' cert. This is common practice.

Some further clarification still needed, unfortunately.
