The more I look at it the more I like it.

Looks like it has a bare metal effect on the ID4.

Good luck to all the haters in their endeavor to go against Zavvi. Hope they don't canel any of your other pre-orders...

It is glossy, like Edward scissor hands. It looks like there are several types of finished now after looking at zavvi's nemo and ID4

Matt
Muted gloss
Metallic gloss
And
High grade gloss

I don't know the official names but you can clearly see the differences.

Pardon me for not piling on, but I like what I see. Sure, more gloss would have been even cooler, but I still like the art, and AFAIK, it's the only clean ID4 steelbook released to date. Can't wait for my copy.

Great looking steel. I love the cover art. They did an excellent job on getting the feel of the film. I hate the typical ID4 dvd cover of the White House exploding. It looks like a picture of a miniture set being destroyed. So really happy with what they did here. And the inside art.... absolutely stunning. Just ordered my copy on zavvi.

Happy enough with this, prefer this artwork over the usual white house design, some embossing on the ID4 or earth would have made it though.

I held off as I wasn't sure about the artwork as the colors etc aren't a match to the original design and feel.
I was looking to get the German version but I've heard bad things so this is a good alternative.
