I'm only buying these cos I've never seen any of the Indiana Jones movies (yes, I know - we've covered this about 3 months ago) Once I've watched them I'm selling them on at cost to a friend

Why the Steelbooks if you're not keeping them? Why not just buy the box set 3 months ago? You'd have seen them already. Can't see the sense in that myself.

Cos the box set has poor re-sale value, and I don't want to keep them - just watch them! This way I get to admire the steelbooks for a bit (always good right?), see the films on blu ray (when they're on TV the quality is awful), not lose any money (as my friend is having them at cost) AND help my friend out who was on holiday when these went live so missed out!
I ALWAYS buy a steelbook for a film I just want to watch once, fact is you lose the least money when re-selling a steelbook compared to an amaray or going to the cinema!

Seems like there's a lot of sense there to me

Come on gang . WE ALL have our own resons for doing what we do .

I for one can not keep them sealed just to look at on a shelf my fingers itch and my eyes burn :jawdrop: .I dont condone those that have the resistance to resist breaking that seal .

However @BradG1984 my other half like you had never seen them till BBC3 last week and all he did was moan about missed punches , I told him MY punches dont miss put your brain out of gear and just enjoy . I have a little feeling that you may just get bitten by the Indy bug and find yourself dederdr detdeddder detderddder dutderdutdeddderr dutdedurtdderr ing I court him doing it . The soundtrack iS infectious .

Yes, commit to paying monthly for a service I don't want just to watch 4 films will definitely be better... Did you even read my post?! Netflix / LoveFilm won't give me ANY of the benefits I outlined!

I watched the first one with the gf last weekend. I'd only ever seen Crystal Skull so I don't really hold Indy in high regard (still pre ordered all 4 though).

She's the Indy nerd so I might just sell them to her haha

Crystal Skull That was Dire , bought it sold it to CEX within 72hrs IT WAS THAT BAD. The other 3 though nice. I hope thay live up to what I am hoping for .

None of the Indy films are on Netflix, dunno about Lovefilm.

Lovefilm have the trilogy on just DVD, and Crystal Skull on both.

Not necessarily. Captain America comes out at the same time as the Indys and I haven't been charged for that yet either. I think they're just dragging their heels this week.
