1. [ME#23] Inglourious Basterds
Finally, we are approved with the Inglourious Basterds Manta Lab Exclusive Steelbook. We've been working on this release since last September (not 2018) and took us 1 year to finally get the rights, design and final approval for this movie. It is one of our favorite movies of all time from Tarantino so we hope we've done a good job with the package. We had a plan to start the pre-order for this movie in late October but due to our recent late production and delay with the previous releases, we have decided to put on a hold until we finish all shipping up to The Shape of Water. Thank you very much for your interest in advance and we will release the information soon. OOoooooohh, That's a BINGO!

I´ll be ready on preorder date as well, 3000 print run should be very smooth to order direct, especially with limitation 2 copies or 1 OC per order. Easy peasy.

But damn, the more I look at the beauty shots the more I love it all, this is gonna be amazing release I´m sure :cigar::cigar:
it's Manta Lab, so yes, it will be an amazing release. in Manta Lab I trust.

Now I've seen the hi res of the full slip, the likenesses aren't great. It's no Drew Struzan!

I've done a complete 180 and leaning more toward the double lenti now!!!
Nah, single lenti is better. Or maybe the double is, or the single? Definitely the single.

...maybe:dunno:

I’m buzzing for this. They nailed the full slip and steel. I do like the single lenti too so maybe if I see that cheap on the bay a few months after release ill pick it up but I’m so happy they went with that illustration for the FS. I have it on a giant post card with the collectors editon.
Love the playing cards too. Love touches like that. I wish manta, kimchi, nova etc scrapped the character cards (they are always so boring) and instead went with somthing more meaningful to the film. It’s why I’ve always loved kimchi’s memento.

Lol #23!

The U.K. collectors editon (always loved the yellow Japanese poster too)

Where did they get the dodgy rear artwork from?

Who's the artist on the FS?
Good question.

Anybody know?

James Goodridge

“This illustration was produced as a result of working on Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds. It was hoped that it would be the one sheet but, for those who love illustration, it is (like the movie) an homage to the grand days of sixties and seventies action movies.”

ok so can anyone explain what exactly a 2D Lenti slip is?
I thought the whole point of lenticular was the 3D effect, the depth?

isnt a 2D just a normal full slip?
whats a gal missing here guys?

I think they mean 2D disc instead of maybe 4K (which I didn’t think you could get this in 4K anyway or any Tarantino film in 4K and probably never will) because it says it on all of them

As per Flloydo’s response:

2D-high definition
4K- UHD
3D-the actual only format worth bothering about, unless they didn’t film it in 3D in which case 2D is perfectly sufficient.
DVD- the format best suited to old episodes of Postman Pat or Bob The Builder
Laser Disc-I actually have no idea what this format is sorry. I think it was available only in Japan.
VHS-A video tape cassette that requires constant rewinding by inserting your index finger in the holes provided and spinning the cassette while trying not to drop and smash it.
Beta-The Apple equivalent of VHS

but 4K is also 2D...just seems weird to state it, and the way its written makes out like its relating to the slip

but its NEVER(to my knowledge and certainly never with titles I've ordered) been specificed as 2D when its a single disc edition....so its set alarm bells ringing for me is all.

I hope you are both right but I'd like some confirmation from @Aniv or the retailer if possible, before I pull the trigger on the sale
